ive heard that Picotto & liebing will be weekly residents with some very good special guests. Anyone else heard this???


i dont think it will get full enough, i really hope that it does though.

Yeh I heard this too, on the meganite board, Mauro apparently announced it at the end of his set on Fri at Storm (unless the guy was trippin!) - sounds amazing, but agree with you, will need to be something pretty special to fill Privelege :)
 
Have to admit last time I seen him was Godskitchen @ Eden in 2002 and it was absolute toilet. It was just a noise. He calls it techno but its not your Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox etc..... its more what they term as Hard dance ( I think they call it that now!!! ). The night at Eden was worst of that year not just the holiday.

I saw him earlier that year at Gatecrasher NEC which was alright but I think that was due to the fact it was a giant arena!!! :!:

but would say he is defo more techno-esque, pretty bangin. You must have heard some of his tunes, they're classics - lizard, komodo etc etc?

and I don't think he's a bad lookin chappie either ;)

not your floaty arms in the air melodic trancy way no - there is tunes in there, but lots of BANG!! Such a hard thing to explain in words, my arm movements and facial expressions are saying it all though pmsl ha ha ha!!!

I saw him last at the arches, glasgow on 28th Dec and thought he was wicked. To be fair though sometimes gets a bit too much, but he's been bringing in some more tuneful things recently apparently and some old stuff too - that's why I think he would be good in ibiza as it tends to bring that out in djs more imo.
 
i think he's classing himself as Techno at the moment.

Im going to see him next month at my beloved Sugarshack so ill let you know :)
 
Mauro Picotto is pure class nowdays with his banging hard techno style!

Hopefully he and MR. Liebing can fill Privilege on wednesdays, cause on this night the competition is rough.
 
saw picotto play for gods at amnesia - 2000 i think it was.

but saw him last year (or was it 20002, seriously can't remember) play for gods at eden.

at amnesia he was awesome! but at eden he was utter crap! it wasn't any music, just these horn noise and a continous hard techno beat.

and he plays with his knobs far tooo much.

i saw Picotto in 2001 at amnesia it was one of the best sets ive ever heard
 
ive read on his message board that they are changing the layout of the club and they are bringing in a new sound system for picotto's night. Dont know how true it is though
