If i'd gone out the last two weeks of July, as I have done every single time i've gone to Ibiza before then...

I would have got to the one with Mistress Barbara! I soo envy anyone who gets to that!
 
What is mauro picotto like live? Ive never seen him but the stuff he has released seems ok, is it along this lines??

he has changed his style to from hard trance/hard house to techno. He is ok as a DJ, but the guests like Mistress Barbara, Parisio, Ben Sims etc are all excellent.
 
i hope im not dissapointed, i loved picotto in his hard trance days, ive never been to a propper techno night either (unless you call fergie techno but ill not start that argument!!!!!) but i know ben sims is really good so i should have a top night

Let's not go there!

Some good names (Ben Sims & Christian Smith) but I'm not really a fan of Picotto. Still, any more techno on the island can only be a good thing.
 
Cocoon seems to be going down the more minimal tip this year by the look of some of their guests, but that's ok.......Hawtin is still the King.

Looking good for techno this year......meganite on Wednesday, Coxy on Tuesday and Coccoon on Monday........all forms of techno covered, from hard through to funky and minimal.

Add to that Space on Sunday(inside) and it's a cracking four days of techy beats

Privilege in Ibiza - the world's largest nightclub - will host a new summer residency with Mauro Picotto and Chris Liebing every Wednesday for ten weeks starting 7th of July next. Privilege even plans to redesign parts of the venue exclusively for the new residency, dubbed 'Meganite Kombinatione.'
Meganite was launched in Miami last year and Mauro Picotto recently introduced the concept to global clubs including NYC's Arc, Ministry of Sound in London, Avalon in Hollywood, Kremlin in Amsterdam and even at a party held deep in the Columbian jungle. Get ready for a mega-night out in Ibiza!

Meganite Kombinatione at Privilege will present a genre bending music policy in the main room called the "Theatre of Sound". Guests DJ's will include Ben Sims, Christian Smith, Cari Lekebush, Henrik B, Fergie and Steve Rachmad. The bar will host the Coco Loco Allstars playing Balearic house all night... (04/16/04)
