dont think I'll b 2 ambitious with the job, barwork, waiting on tables, even beach work flogging jetski rides, anything really 2 pay my way, Im not fussy, would really like 2 try some poledancing but not sure whether its worth the grief of pissed up losers trying 2 get in2 my pants every nite
gotta sort some temp accom out 1st tho, did u use a travel agent or do it off the internet? u say u got 18 days booked already, good call, plenty of time 2 find permanent place 2 stay and a job, sounds like u got your **** sorted in plenty of time hun! wish I was as organised!
dont b sad about the 4 weeks left at work, think of me, my last day aint till 19th May and I fly on the 20th, I think I still got seven weeks left and i got loads still 2 do and sort

So, reading this thread.............StaceyAxx, you've got it spot on darling. Getting out there around about the middle of May is perfect. If you travel before then there's b*gger all open so you can't look for work but if you leave it until June not only is decent accommodation about three times as dear but you won't find a job because they're all gone! And if you're thinking of leaving it until July, forget it!!
Also StaceyAxx, your accommodation arrangements are good too, never ever book temporary accommodation beyond the end of May. The hotels all hike their prices really stupidly once 1st June comes. Plus, 2-3 weeks is more than enough for anyone to get a nice tan and sort summer accommodation and a job out. Gemma060686, sort something out sweetheart, if you leave it much longer there'll be nowhere for you to stay!! Ibiza is VERY popular
Remember, a lot of the better bars and clubs will provide you with rent-free living accommodation if you can show them you're out there for the summer - it's in their interests to have dependable girls they can rely on. The downside is that they won't necessarily pay you or if they do it'll be peanuts - you need to depend on tips, but if you're good at what you do, you can make enough to survive easily.
Most important thing is that roof over your head and if your boss is providing it, you're laughing
Other things you can do before you leave UK?
1 Get a Nationwide bank account, if I remember rightly they're the only UK bank that don't charge you for overseas cashpoint withdrawals.
2 Get yourself a Spanish simcard and make sure your phone is unlocked to take it! Don't get ripped off on price though, surf the net, there are always deals to be had.
3 Take your E111 card with you - if you haven't got one, do it now!!
4 Sort travel insurance out, just in case. Annual insurance is no good because it usually limits travel to duartions of 31 days, if you're planning on staying the summer you'll need a single trip policy. Again, shop around on the net and don't get shafted on price!! We paid £61 each last year for 3 and a half months in Ibiza (40p per day), we met people who'd been conned by their banks into paying over £250 for the same cover!! Suckers
5 Pre-book your airport-to-hotel taxi. Again, the net is your friend, there's nothing nicer than watching everyone else scrabbling for a taxi when you've landed and all you have to do is go find the guy holding a card up with your name on it
