Matinee WAS great as a daytime club.. what I liked best about Matinee was that it was pumping by 11:00 am.

however, your plan sounds quite good... zoo project then Matinee.. hmnnn8)
 
I haven't been to Matinee in Ibiza in five or six years (they always open after I leave in late June) but I just went to a Matinee World Tour party here last weekend and it was AWESOME. Great music, great atmosphere, really well organized. Made me even more excited about trying to make it to Matinee in Space this year :!:

I hate to be glass-is-half-empty about it but I just don't think it will be the same as an evening party.

still willing to check it out though... unless something better is on... or all the other clubs are shut by September :lol:

:lol: We're like 2 old gassing women when it comes to Matinee aren't we :oops::lol:

I've decided not to go this year, I figured that even tho it opens at 6pm there is no way the (mainly manana Spanish) crowd will be there for when it opens. It gets dark so early in September so by the time it properly gets going it's just going to be a night-time club :?

Also when I've been to Matinee not in Ibiza or Barcelona but as a night-time club it def loses that Matinee daytime magic and it's a normal-ish night :?

Don't know what to do on Saturdays now, I loved getting up at 7am for a wine and bump breakfast :lol:
 
opening is this coming saturday, i'll be there for sure. i am really curious to see how it will be. i am also still gutted the daytime thing is over, but i am almost sure it will work a treat also as a nighttime party...but let's see.
 
No way I'll be going to Space anymore,I Really liked the day parties,makes no sense going ther at nite time :?

aww this makes me sad :cry: .. :lol: I've been thinking about heading to Matinee, but really wondering if anyone is actually going to be there at 6:00 pm... and you're right, the reason i went was because it was a morning daytime club. I just went after i wsa out on Friday night, but that's why I loved it so much. It really was the best atmosphere ever!!

I wonder if they will ever change the rules back again... ha!

well if you go for the closing at least you'll be able to go from noon!

I remember the first year i went o Ibiza i went to almost all the day parties at space!!
 
So now that we are well into the first 6pm season, has anyone been yet? When does it kick off and is it as good as it used to be?

I agree completely...the "morning daytime club" was very special and unique...that was the time @Space ;):p

i agree too, but will try to make the best of it....we will be going to matinee on 27th sept, 6:00pm on the dot (after a bit of bora bora)....
 
Matinee on Sep. 13

Hi guys,
I am planning to join Matinee crew in Ibiza on Sep. 13.

As far as you experienced, with the new schedule 6pm-6am, what is the best tme to enter? I am wondering if in the early hours is empty or already packed.

in july i get matinee at 9.00 +/- and was goog time....it was full!!!!
 
Matinee is better than ever, maybe the best party in Ibiza nowdays (and i ain't even gay).

It's advised to arrive there before the sun gows down and experience some hours of sunlight on the famous sunset terrace.

In August i arrived at 19:00 and the place was already in full swing!
 
in august there was already a big row @ 19.00
i had a really good time on the sunset terrace
i really miss the day parties esp the manumission carry on
