i'm thinking of going this year for a bit of a day time boogie...will be out friday night... not sure how busy it gets right away in the am... is it best to go when it opens ( when is that?) or go late morning / noon?

matinée opens at 8am and gets busy really quick! i like to get there at around 9am to get an hour or two inside, and then change to the terrace to enjoy the best saturday afternoon activity ever possible imo

yes, kind of funky. but inside you get some proggy and sometimes even a bit of trancey stuff while on the terrace you also get some more electro-y and tekhouse stuff. just don't expect to get any minimal/detroit/underground music at matinée - the music is much more mainstream i'd say, but the vibe at matinée is among the best!

Exactly as Nostrum says - I LOVE Matinee You can often get cheap wristbands @ Tantra.

If you're in PDB walking towards Space from say Jet apartments it's on the right hand side (same side as Space) and it's one of the last bars you'll come to before Space.

It's a fab place, it's always been open 24 hours so there's guaranteed to be a few like-minded toe-rags hanging about They're good for tickets too.
