What kind of massage did you have?

I'm so bummed I didn't get to go to massage while in Thailand, it's so cheap there but I was a bit sunburned so couldn't handle it

The massage I had in Thailand was brutal! The woman who massaged me looked like an All Black and was about as rough. She even tried to crack my neck at one point which was a bit disconcerting! Plus she liked me and kept feeling my bum

Hawaiin massage is my fave (uses hands and forearms at the same time) very nice indeed.

I've heard it's best to ask for a Swedish massage in Thailand. Then they only use their hands. Thai massage is the rough kind.

I LOVE Thai traditional massage when it's done properly - techniques vary and the best way to get a good one is either to head north (away from touristy areas) or in Wat Pho which is the main massage school in Thailand...loved it! I even did a course in it.

My fave massage technique of all though is Ayurvedic yoga massage. It's like passive yoga...the practitioner walks up and down your spine and all sorts - and afterwards, the sensations you get are unbelievable - it causes huuuge mental shifts (something to do with spinal fluids being drained that usually remain where they are and stagnate).
Amazing stuff!!!
(I think it's mainly taught in Prune, India.)

one of the ones which concentrate on the pressure points along the spine.

was too busy being in dreamyland to hear what she was saying.

on the bonus side, she was proper fit too!

:)

I had a dream I got the most amazing massage last night 8O

I liked the thai massages too, we got one at Wat Po like robder and then several others in different places. It's certainly not relaxing but it's quite nice having everything clicked about!
