Manumission Trips

Anyone remember these?

Wife and I went in Sept 1998 (Yes, 9 years ago). What a shambles!!

Why? -
Crap Appts, No other fellow Manuers around, no welcome meeting, Left at Airport for 30 mins on arrival, had to pester for tickets to Cream which were part of the deal (got them 2 hrs prior to going out!!) Guest list entry to Privilge a farce, Space after party intiallly turned away although it was supposed to be free entry but eventually got in.

Did have the time of my life though!!!

Good bits (other than the usual Ice Cannon at Amnesia type things) -
Blagged 3 drinks each in the workers bar at Manumission and sneeked a bottle of water in each.
Discovered Bora Bora by accident. It was a little less busy then.
Sunset at CDM whilst listening to Classic (and I mean Classic) house.
Getting the wife Pregnant.

Anyone else remember these Manumission Trips? Any other experiences of them good/bad?

The only Manumission trip I did was for the Millennium cos they did a package for that and there was no other way to get from England - Ibiza for the New Year.

It was actually really well organised and really good crowd of people but that might be cos it was off-season.

Included in the price there was 'Back in the day' night at Es Paradis on the 30th with Nicky Holloway and Johhny Walker, pre-party in the hotel on NYE with Lisa Loud and all the Spanish New Year traditions, then transport to and from Manumission with entrance included, then entry into Space on New Years Day and then an afterparty back in the hotel.

It was 5 days of complete carnage - couldn't have wanted to see the Millennium in in another way

I have got 256867845 photos but they were all before the days of digital cameras I shall try and scan some in if I can work the scanner, if only for the fact I look so young in them
