If this is really about a fine, I'm siding with the greedy capitalist club owner (ducks)
If Manumission were issued the fine, they should pay it, especially if it is true that they are getting 100% of the door (50 euros entry x 10,000+ = they can afford it).

Have they? Spinclub had some decent guests on when I was there and I thought it would do well at Space.

Surely you can't just oust a night mid-way through a season?

the stunt is 50% wrong IMO - spinclub was doing pretty well so far.

on a curious note, last friday was claire's birthday. after the fiasco with privilege, the manu peeps went to underground to celebrate it.....

Club Scene

This summer season 2007 will definitely be remembered by holidaymakers
and business owners alike as a season dominated by politics.

We all remember the bad state of affairs back in June
when the new government on the island came into power
and vowed to shed Ibiza's image of the past
by trying to close and limit opening hours of bars and clubs
throughout the island.
A few big named venues were affected by this, Bora Bora, DC10, Anmesia,
all of which were closed for a period of 2/3 weeks.

This at least was a battle between authorities and business owners,
however now we are seeing club owners falling out with their respective promoters.

Thousands of disappointed clubbers were left waiting in vain
to get into Privilege for Manumission a few days ago.
Word is that Privilege incurred a large fine last year on a night
Manumission's party was on there, so an argument ensued with owners
and promoters over who was responsible, and ultimately who will be paying the fine.
So, because of this 'domestic', both club and clubbers missed out on a night.
