Manu moving to another club?

I never said ANYTHING about an Ibizan night, im wanting to show them the main attractions ... thats all

i thought you wanted to introduce them to ibiza.

I thought Radio 1 weekend coincided with Manumission's 10th bday this year and they were having it a privilege... and since their going to have a 10th bday, wouldn't it make sense for Manumission to be returning to Privilege on Mondays?? I didn't read the whole thread so I might have missed something, or I might be way off, but it's just my thinking. I'm pretty sure the double M will be on the white isle come summer.

Ok let’s look at it another way.

Why wouldn't Manu be at privilege :?:

Have they fallen out with privilege or couldn't they sort out a finance deal :?:

I think it is more of a progress, every organizer wants to do something new anytime. If it does not fit the amount of people, it is maybe better because quality night life entertainment does not start at 10000 visitors.
I really agree on the idea that M will be a small scale continuation.

Why not!

Privilage is way too big to fill. And for what. Ibiza is cosy about it's small scale benefits! Think about the Motel.

After 9 years of great succes and mayor shows, I can imagine that these organizers want to do something more sophisticated. Whatever that may be, it will be in their favour instead of the audience needs. I think that is o.k.

I happen to agree with you very much Ibiza-girlie...

Its been very much a part of ibiza for me for the past 6 years and some of my friends even started to question whether they wanted to stack up the plastic again this year and spend the winter paying it off if there was no manu or carry on....

Me tho.. I'd come to ibiza still if all the clubs closed... theres something very spiritual about the island for me...

That depends on your point of view...

If you mean the promoters aren't from ibiza then of course you are correct.

But it's been going ten years, attracts the highest number of people out of ANY club night on the island and there is a healthy proportion of ibizian/spanish people there each week.

Think of the clubs/nights that have been and gone in the same ten years and I think you might agree that it is very much part of the ibizian club culture.

I think Manu is very much one of the most essential ibiza nights, who the funk decides wqhat a "real genuine" ibiza night/experience/vacation/trip or whatever is?????

NO ONE!!

Unless youre just trying to be a stuck up snob........

each to their own, but no one can say that Manu is not a genuine Ibiza party! off course it is!

I have enjoyed Manumission in the past and if I was going to the island with new people this year I would probably go again. I certainly don't hate it, my first experience of it was one of the highlights of my clubbing life.

Whilst it may be a circus and not a true clubbers club, the sheer scale of it blows the mind first time round. However, the more times I've been (3) the less impressive that side of it becomes and now I've had enough.

It's the only night that can generate an atmosphere in a club that size.

I think Privilege is the greatest club......it maight not be as cool as Pacha is certain ways, but I love its great structure, big dome, the amazing size and I wonder what the restaurant is like really! hmmm.......

Since when was Manumission not an Ibiza night out?! Off yer face on top of a mountain at 6am under stain glass windows at sunrise hearing balearic tunes surrounded by lovely ladies in Ibiza? Good god man what more do you want?!

I think Robo was just trying to make a valid point that Manumisson is not a true ibizan night

exactly, another one talking sense.

Rob I think we've both been on here long enough to know that sense doesn't prevail at times on here  ;)

no people TASTE doesnt prevail....why do you always have tp feel your op´s are more valid??? It beats me everytime......naturallt Manu is every bit as good/credible/real an Ibiza night as any other one.....

not more valid, just my opinon.

manu is run by english promoters, with a primarily english crowd, with english dj's.

whereas balearic people, for example is run by spanish or ibizan promoters, not sure exactly, with spanish/ibizan djs, which reflects in a spnaish/ibizan more mixed crowd. Leading to a more extravagent "balearic" feel.

of course its my opinon.

see you at balearic people?
