Manchester night out

Off on holiday to Manchester on March 7th for 2 nights and my wife, who is not into the scene, really wants to have a night out dancing in a club with me! So she is not gonna like anything too techno or heavy. Purple disco machine are playing at the Victoria warehouse, they are quite disco and I’m thinking could be good, anyone know the age demographic of their fans? Also, Joshua brooks has Olga korol which sounds right up my street but will we look like pensioners there? (We are 40). I’d go brooks on my own, I’ve done it before, I always feel ok, but my wife may feel uncomfortable. Any other recommendations in manny appreciated 😁

La Discotheque at Albert Hall on the Saturday night could fit the bill... cool venue thats not a dingy basement, may suit the other half

Hadn’t spotted that one! Cheers for that. I went Albert hall years ago for a cristoph and hot since 82 night and the venue was good. good line up there thanks again

I’m also going to the La Discotheque night and the one time I’ve been before there was a good mix of ages, at least two in our group on the cusp of 40 so you’ll fit right in!

I’m sold, videos look good. Very camp and glam! I may need to buy some glitter and get fully involved 😂💃. Cheers guys.

I'm on a stag do in Manchester that weekend.

I'm told we are going to somewhere called Manahatta in Deansgate on Friday, then Bongo's Bingo followed by Revolución De Cuba on Saturday night.

Hence, you be should be safe enough

Thinking about going to manc again in December, anyone been to the loft? Decent place? Midland and Pearson playing an all night b2b, sounds like it could be decent.

Loft is a good venue that manages really good bookings. Venue is a bit of a funny shape but generally speaking you'll have a good night there. White Hotel is also really good and would be my preferred choice out of the 2

I’ve had a look at white hotel, looks good and nice late opening time aswell, 7-8am! Looks interesting. Which would u say had the most diverse age range? Young 41 year old asking 😬🙂. Keeping an eye on Joshua Brooke’s lineups aswell, like it in there

you’d get a more diverse crowd at white hotel. The Loft can often be quite a young demographic in my experience

As MHenton said the White Hotel is a good shout. I’m in my 50s and thought it was great There’s lots of different genres on different nights. We went last year and saw Prosumer play. A very friendly diverse crowd with different ages. Ended up being a bit of sweatbox in the end, A proper rave and we loved it!
