Man purse

A colleague of mine gave me some zip disks to take home last night and copy to CD (rememeber zip disks? funny old things... had to dig my zip drive out of storage, but I digress...).

Anyway, he gave these disks to me in a small leather bag not unlike one of those man purses. :spank: I felt totally goofy carrying this thing from and to the office. :?

Anyone know someone who actually regularly uses one of these?

I got a beat up brown leather bag, similar to a record bag....if that counts??
basically somewhere to keep my book/sarnies/fruit when I go to work

No, that sounds more like a courier's bag or something. That's pretty normal for carrying things to/from the office or elsewhere.

A man purse is small. Not shoulder-strap material as it's only about 10cm x 5cm. You've got to carry it in your hand.

why didnt you just transfer said small bag into a more respectable sized "man bag"??? (Joey  )

Wanted to but didn't have anything suitable around the office (plus I didn't realize how embarassed I'd be walking down the street until I went outside!). This morning I was running late (and almost forgot the darn thing) so no time to look for something for the return trip.

thats not a man bag, it's a clutch bag. so no, is the answer to your question. i bet you looked like a right queen morby

I know! That's exactly what I was thinking.

When I first moved to Moscow those bags were strangely popular... not among g___ but usually the so-called New Russians - drive up in your Merc, park illegally, step out in a tight black sweater or off-colored blazer and walk in with your man purse  Thank god that fashion has receeded

As long as it wasn't one of those belly bag things, you know the ones you wrap around your waist. Gosh they are awful! 8O

They called the "fanny packs" in the States. Truly horrible inventions.
