No shit, some guy opening a new club in Newcastle was browsing on Ebay and found Four Funktion One Dance stacks for sale
So he went and bought them
Only other club in the UK that has them is Stealth which only has Two. I believe now the only other club in the world that has Four is Ice in Vegas where the setup won the Best soundsystem award at the World Club Awards in 2004. I've heard them, they really are the best, nothing can describe how good they sound. I'm going to Newcastle

YOUR FUTURE IS DIGITAL
Digital: The launch of the most forward thinking technically advanced club and live venue in the North.
Location: Times Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4EP
Launching: Opening parties – Thurs 28th/Fri 29th/Sat 30th July ‘05
DIGITAL OPENING PARTIES
STONELOVE – THURS. 28th JULY
WAX:ON – FRI. 29th JULY
SHINDIG – SAT. 30th JULY
WHAT do you do when you have just purchased your own nightclub, the end product of 15 years hard slog? Well you have a speculative look on e-Bay to see if there happens to be a mighty sound system up for grabs– or at least you do if you're the team behind clubland's newest big-hitting addition.
Opening in the last week of July, Newcastle's Digital is being presented as "the most technically-advanced and forward-thinking club and live music venue in the north" Described as having a "lush, industrial feel", its 1,400 capacity will be split in to two rooms at the city centre's Times Square, on the site of the former Powerhouse nightclub which has been bought and totally remodelled.
The venture is the bastard lovechild of Stereo Corp's Rob Cameron and Aaron Mellor (already responsible for Newcastle's ultra-stylish Tokyo and Stereo bars and promoters of Shindig and Indie night Stonelove respectively), along with Events Director, Dave Stone
Digital boasts an awe-inspiring sound system with four industry-leading Funktion One dance stacks - one of only a handful in the world, complete with a cool six-figure price tag.
Its launch will see North East clubbing institution Shindig re-locating after 10 years at Foundation as it graces the new club's Saturday schedule. And one of Newcastle's freshest and most forward thinking parties, Wax:On, will be launching a weekly Friday breaks, electro and hip hop night having previously been staged once a month, also at Foundation. Thursday's will see the club host the 101% rock and roll Stonelove. Digital is also set to become an established live music venue, playing host to some of the most currently in artists to be announced shortly.
Digital will be complemented by a neighbouring venue, The Other Rooms (previously known as Zinc), whose two floors will host a small nightclub, live music space and a late night bar and eatery. The Other Rooms will be a hotbed of underground talent, creating opportunities for new artists, DJs and more leftfield offerings to get established on the live scene.
The launch party weekend line ups are super secret at this stage but safe to say that a turbo helicopter has been booked and will be making several trips to and from Global Gathering (ooh the mystery)
Dave Stone says the team are intent on re-focusing attention on the north having seen London steal the limelight in recent years. He explains: "A seismic change is on the way for clubland. With Digital and the Carling Academy opening it's going to be an amazing time for music in Newcastle and we will leave no stone unturned to reach our goals. While we were deciding on the specifications, Aaron hade a cheeky look on e-Bay and saw the Funktion One sound system was for sale at Maze in Miami. Straight away we knew we had to have it and flew over to the States to buy. It's a monster."
