Madonna - Hung up

I remember my mates saying that JLC played an Abba-sampling tune at Type @ The Cross earlier this year. Its only recently become obvious thats what it was. It wouldn't surprise me if he has road-tested most of the album at his gigs.
 
that filter part before the chorus in the beginning is like sooo old......the way the abba theme is filtered and graduately turned up to normal level, yikes! 8O
 
Bit of a rip off though because erol alkan had been playing out an edit he did using that same sample a while ago. Maybe JLC originally had something to do with it i dunno but it just seems like he's ripped off someone elses idea... The beauty of the music industry.
 
It's not toooo bad, but it's really not that spectacular either. Then again I've only heard the radio version.

nah thats what i mean, it wasnt pressed, erol just created a rough edit and played it out for himself. Not a released mix.
 
My final post on this topic.. I FINALLY heard this in a club this weekend, at The Key to be precise, and it went down a storm!!

It was the dub version of the original I think, but the place went ballistic.

Defo gets my thumbs up 8)
 
...Track is great ...the album is brilliant, great dance beats from start to finish.

I've liked bits and bobs that Madonna has done over the years, esp Music and Ray of Light...there has also been lots and lots of total dross.

Some fairly weak lyrics but a fantastic after club record...listen without prejudice 8)
 
Cant make up my mind about it, i suppose its okay at the moment unti lit gets played to death. I wouldnt dance to it but its listenable.
 
Jacques lu Cont played the near-instrumental version at Shine last month before I knew it was Madonna and it was fantastic, I'm not keen on the vocal though.
 
This album kicks ass!Love the JLC production especially on tracks like Jump and Sorry.The only Mirwais tune Future Lovers isn't bad either.Can't wait for the remixes!!
