Ma new dug

I am soooooooooooooooo jealous - he is gorgeous. I am desperate to have a few more doggies but we're at work for too long in the day  so it wouldn't be fair.

Keep sending the pictures though, he's such a cutie 8)

He was born in Angus, so it seemed to fit him, and we didnt want a posh name.

I call him Gus. Other names were "Stan" (as in Stanford) or Tam.

If you don't work too many hours you might want to consider an older dog. I live alone/work a lot, and always thought it would be unfair to keep a dog- until I started volunteering at a shelter and wound up taking a 'senior' dog home for the weekend, because I felt sorry for her...four years on, she is still here and I have had no problems leaving her while I am at work. Of course, she is a really sweet, mellow dog -I don't think the arrangement could work with a hyperactive jack russell.

Sorry to hijack your thread Angus - you are adorable!

Aww what a lovely story and how lovely of you to volunteer at a shelter and adopt one ;) That's what we did - our 2 were 5 and 8 when we got them from a rescue place.

Nah it's not really that noble- I simply love dogs, and as I couldn't have one at home I started volunteering. It's great you took two older ones also - I am always trying to get people to adopt our older dogs, as they are often overlooked - truth is, they seem to really appreciate getting a home and make wonderful pets- especially if you live/work in the city, since they are content to sleep all day and don't need the same stimulation/space that puppies require.

My only reservations about travelling to Ibiza/abroad is that I have to leave my dog behind!

It does make coming home from Ibiza so much easier knowing you have 2 furry little creatures over the moon to see you ;)
