Lunch reports

As most of us are on detox/diet, shall we have a quick lunch report, see how everyone is doing?! :)

I am proud to say I made my own salad, never done one before (well unless you count a salad which had about 1 piece of lettuce and the rest was cheese, ham and bread  ).
I had lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, a few croutons, and chargrilled chicken pieces, topped off with a dash of Hellmans light dressing.

For snacks I've got cherries, banana, apple and some nuts.

It actually tasted quite nice! I'm getting good at this no carb malarky!

(and before some smarta.rse says yes I know the croutons count as carbs, but they're only tiny! )

I had a mackerel salad that Tom made me, no dressing or anything, nothing but the leaves and the fish but it was actually very yummy.

brown pitta breads with salad, low fat mayo, cooked smoked salmon pieces and tomato.

was nice, but I'm still hungry, so I ate a marks and spencers chocolate cookie. It was DELICIOUS

homemade fusli with chicken in courgettes and sweetcorn in a plum tomato sauce.

Now I feel like a failure at detox! :x I might go and regurgitate my croutons :?

You've been very good this week, you've just stretched the rules of detox a bit now and again  ;)

carrot and coriander soup with sunflower seed bun
pkt of Snack a Jacks
3 satsumas

1ltr water

.... I've been grazing all day rather than eating a lunch....:D

And only 3 ciggies too - but planning on going for a 4th sometime in the next 20 mins if I can be bothered to kit myself out in scarf, coat, gloves etc...

I thought croutons might pass as a vegetable because they're not really bread are they? You can't get bread that small!

I know, when you were describing detox to me "only grilled white meat and veg" - I thought "easy peasy, chicken and roast potatoes for day 1, fish with mash potato for day 2 etc"

To my credit though I have only had potatoes once this week, and they were new potatoes, not fried or anything :p
And only 2 slices of wholemeal bread all week!

I amaze myself!
