if you make yr own lunch, you'll feel like youve done something to get yr self going in the morn. plus, if u make everything as fresh as poss, you know exactly what youre putting in.

THat's the theory, but if you don't grow your own tomatos or you don't buy them from a VERY reliable place you would never know how many chemical stuff has on it.

prob less additives than in a ready made salad!

Haven't had lunch yet, but I am thinking stir fry.

I save the stir-fry for the evening.

Going to cook a nice big chicken one tonight (after a few vodka/pineapples)

:P

Stir fry chez moi tonight for tea too - although not as healthy as usual - beef, black beans and green pepper with rice noodles (but is post gym, so balances out nicely!)

I just made myself a little stir fry with broccoli, a bit of frozen chinese veggie mix, half a chili pepper and some rice noodles, flavored with soy sauce and sweet chili sauce. mmm good :D

and very nearly too healthy for me 8O

frozen chinese veggie mix
That's what they call it... you and I know that's a misnomer

I keep it on hand to add to stir fries, etc. It's basically bits of carrot, pepper, onion and bean sprouts. I'll toss a couple of tablespoons in when making quick meals.

if u think its tasty, use it!

i find frozen veg a bit bland. like someone sucked out the taste b4 they froze it.

was watching "full on food" last night, and fancy lobster pasta.

I need the rice to absorb the alcohol I consumed last night. I figure I can grab some Mongolian BBQ for lunch then just go to bed tonight with a small salad or something.

my new favourite tv prog.

btw, i had a subway veggie delight today for lunch. v healthy (execpt perhaps for the BBQ sauce they smother it with)

BBQ sauce on a samich??? Maybe if I was eating a MC Rib!!! That has a lot of sugar (carbs). Try some fat free vinaigrette if you are going healthy.

To be honest, I don't look for oodles of flavor in my veggies anyway... the flavor is in the sauce ;)

Plus I use that stuff for color and texture. Didn't want just fried rice noodles and broccoli. Plus I cooked it all in about 10 minutes including prep time, which was the idea.

Pour moi: garlic chicken kiev, peas, carrots, and baby corns, with a small side salad
If you think that's healthy, then you didn't have chicken kiev.

Chicken kiev is a boneless chicken breast wrapped around a couple of tablespoons of butter and then coated in breadcrumbs and fried. When you cut into it, the butter oozes out all over your plate.

I love it, but I wouldn't call it healthy

If you had something different, it was not chicken kiev.

Today for lunch I have a steack with salad and jalapeño pepers. I still haven't had dinner and don't know what would I have.
