Don't tell me you weren't glad cos by 1pm we'd done everywhere in Central London plus Portobello and we were sat with a wine in our hands

I've never been happier

Maybe it's the stupid London tourist guides then - I wish they'd stop telling people about it then and it wouldn't take an hour to walk from Notting Hill to Portobello on a Saturday afternoon when it takes about 5 mins normally

Aaaah... the joys of living in a touristic city. I totally simpathise with you. I hate when my fav places are full of tourists, they are supposed to be in the typical places like Barça or Las Ramblas, not in my fav gothic square

Unless you go like me at around 11, get stuck in the crowds because Ladbrooke Station is closed...... walk all the way to the bottom... get to the food bit... can't find the clothes...... walk back empty handed and wonder what all the fuss is about!!!

I am on a sensible weekend so babs' early start will be doable - although dunno why I am getting excited tho - everytime I have disposable cash to fritter away on stuff I see absolutely nothing to buy - so distressing....

I like them cept that they walk so slow and in my path I am like a mad woman on speed when I shop tho so most people do my head in

We should pack them in the touristic busses all day and lock them there. I'm sure most of them will be very happy with the idea and their mexican hats would be senseless but usefull

YOu have problems driving and killing tourists because you drive in the wrong sense

I know how important are tourists for the city economy, but dealing with them every single day is quite of a pain. Now I'm back to the central offices near Barça and it's more supportable, but I've spent 2.5 years working in las Ramblas and I had psicokiller ideas and wished I had a karasnikov with me and I could shot all the tourists who cross Las Ramblas thinking that the cars, buses, bikes and lorries will stop just cos they are blonde with blue eyes

I do enjoy seeing their faces though when I nearly mow them down!
