Looking for somewhere for a couple of nights during the week for work in central London that isn't going to be extortionate, nor resemble the set of Rising Damp.

Any suggestions? It's for a Monday and Tuesday.

if its for a week or so's time - you could try ClubQuarters, one at St Pauls, one on Gracechurch St (nr Bank) and one at Trafalgar - you can sometimes get a £99 RO rate...

Are they any good? Seen good deals on them in the past, but unsure what they are like.

Avoid Tower (Formerly The Thistle) - at St Katherine's Dock - its just awful!!!

 it is generally hated by our company! I stayed there once and it was o.k - had a cracking view of the bridge.

Last couple of times I have been in the Apex which is lovely, but dependent on availability the price can be sky high!!

I have just got the Apex booked for next week - £145pn - RO though :?

8O *insert throwy up smiley*

Apex is lovely though, and they have a dvd library you can call up from, with all the classics  Not to mention the rubber ducky you get to take home

Sucker for a gimmick I know, but the best sleep I have had in a hotel in years.

...... have to say I am very particular about what beds i sleep in ..... I always do a check of the bed before I unpack my bag....:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

The Grange Hotel by Tower Hill underground station always looks nice when I walk past at lunch......but not sure how pricey it is. And there is a Novotel round the corner. Again no idea of prices.

Yep the Novotel is o.k too and one of the more resonably priced - although as with them all the prices go up and down all the time!
