I don't think it's going to make any difference in London tbh, even before the drinking laws a lot of the big clubs aready have 24 hour opening licences and lots of bars already have licences til 3/4am. And there's always been plenty of post-clubbing establishments on a Saturday/Sunday morning.
The only thing which will be a bonus is that you can pop to your local off-licence at all hours to get alcohol legitimately (instead of having to be sneakily sold them under the counter in a paper bag
) and as Sandi said I like the idea of 'local' pubs been open a couple of hours longer if you're just having a quiet night with friends or whatever.
