London clubs/pubs - 24hour opening

I don't think it's going to make any difference in London tbh, even before the drinking laws a lot of the big clubs aready have 24 hour opening licences and lots of bars already have licences til 3/4am. And there's always been plenty of post-clubbing establishments on a Saturday/Sunday morning.

The only thing which will be a bonus is that you can pop to your local off-licence at all hours to get alcohol legitimately (instead of having to be sneakily sold them under the counter in a paper bag :lol: ) and as Sandi said I like the idea of 'local' pubs been open a couple of hours longer if you're just having a quiet night with friends or whatever.
 
Pretty sure. Not 100%. I think the laws up here are fine, but our clubs close far too early.

With the majority of pubs who open till 12/1 (11 o'clock was SO out of date anyway), violence and disturbance is gonna be just the same if not worse. As for Britain becoming more continental, they've lost the plot. The fact so many people are excited about this shows you that its not gonna alter drinking habits. Just give people more time in the pubs to get twatted. People don't binge cause they're running out of time. They binge cause they wanna get pissed, spew on a bouncer, and send inappropriate text messages to girls they have in their phone at 4-5am.

I feel your pain, everything shuts here in Edmonton at 2:30 :( :(

We have a couple of afterhours establishments which have no liquor license, so they can't sell alcohol, and can allow younger patrons :?

So, these afterhours clubs are full of methed out 13 year olds!

Would be nice if we could have some clubs open until a decent clubbing hour

Completely agree, everyone up here will just end up more twatted. Still, I believe people should be allowed to do drink when they want, adults should be given the chioce
