Liverpool V Chelsea

i think many agree with you to that end, me included. but purely in terms of quality, chances, etc............there was little appeal.

but physical, gritty, battle of wits, type games are just as enthralling no doubt.
Agreed.

Seemed to me the Reds had the edge through most of the 90 mins (maybe Chelsea pulled ahead in the last 15-20m or so). Chelsea were better in extra time but Liverpool defended superbly. Not many chances for either side, though Drogba missed a sitter. Reina is a hero (and Robben should not take penalties)

Too much long-ball action for me. Got frustrating after a while.

I enjoyed it, free flowing football is dead on but you can't beat a bit of tension and a good scrap for entertainment.

Shoulda been 3-1 at fulltime for Liverpool. Damn crossbar! In the end, justice prevailed. So will it be LPool destroying Man U or will it be another crushing defeat for Milan at the hands of the Reds??

I didn't enjoy it... but only because I was too friggin' nervous!

Grego - you actually found a hotel room? I was wondering how soon people who'd been holding rooms would cancel, as when I checked this past weekend there wasn't a decent room to be had in all of Athens!

I actually had a super-cheap $150 one-way London-Athens BA ticket lined up (no idea how I found that... just popped up on Expedia.com) and reserved an equally cheap Athens-Moscow flight for $250 but alas...

I just heard about the helicopter crash very sad news indeed, this same thing happened to former Chelsea Chairman and gentleman Matthew Harding a few years ago and creepily it's happened again 8O

Very sad indeed. BTW Harding was never Chairman of Chelsea, but throughly liked by all the chelsea fans (as well as a few others)....

Great game last night and I thought we gave them a run for their money mashcerano was the outstanding player for me. The trouble is Liverpool and Chelsea just tend to cancel each other out. We won't mention the foul that without doubt helped them score last night

Throughly enjoyed it but watched it thru my fingers

**** wasnt it.

only one team trying to play. the other spent half the time rolling around on the deck feigning "head injuries".

poofs.

drogba and joe cole and robben just need to have a serious word with themselves.

saying that wouldn't expect anything less from a jose team. it was like when he slated deco for his diving and play acting, yet it was him he nurtured and encouraged that for porto!  :? twat.
