The legendary Canadian singer acts cabaret tonight at the port of Ibiza Mess in the tour that's taken him through different locations in Spain. After 55 years of career confesses that, as their health permits, will continue to work for music, he says, is his passion. Announced in March an autobiography and a Broadway musical about his exciting career.

PORRAS CAROLINA -
What can we expect from your show?
-My orchestra and I think this show really happy. We will offer a collection of selected songs from my last 50-year career.

- Speaking of Las Vegas, do you have news about your musical life on Broadway?
- I decided to wait until I finish my book. We are now in the final stages, working with publishers to launch in February or March 2013.

- How do you feel when other artists sing his songs?
-I am very grateful, since it tells me that my creations still represent how they feel, so freely allowed to express themselves through the magic of music.

- Usually, singing is often more difficult for a composer. How did you feel when first sung?
'It was difficult for me because I believed what he was singing. I looked so young I knew that no one would write for me, so I did. I remember when I started singing my creations I felt a tremendous wealth of music and passion.

-55 Years of career ... When will it stop and start to unwind and relax?
-These 55 years have passed very quickly, and I have filled with fascinating experiences. But I'm looking for new experiences. I think I'll never stop doing what I do, but I do not think success or money, but that is my passion and I love it. The only obstacle I face is if I'm not healthy enough to continue. And do not worry, trust me: I have time to relax.

Paul Anka is synonymous with 'gentleman', now and forever. What is your secret to be and be seen as a perfect gentleman?
'Honestly, there is no secret why Paul Anka is known as a gentleman. I guess it's a personal choice of behavior. It is easier to be nice to not be. If someone remembers where it came from, respect people and maintains its integrity in what he does always have appropriate behavior and be a gentleman.

- Do you think the world is moving too fast?
Yes, and I really think that causes people stress. I see a lot of hopelessness in some people and that is very sad, because we must always believe that anything is possible. I always advise the country you love is one, but never trust those who lead it. But I know it's not a simple answer to this changing world ... When you see this changing economic, financial and political, he realizes that things will go wrong until we concienciemos that there are other political and social models, otherwise the world will continue spiraling down, the rich will richer and the poor will get poorer.

- Do you recognize that 'Spain is different'?
-Spain is, of course, different, as are many of the countries I visited. But Spain is a very special place in my heart. I've been coming here for over 50 years and what's different about Spain is its people, the Spanish. They have always been very polite, warm-hearted and fond of music. In addition, I enjoy Spanish cuisine at all levels, but what I like most is the paella.
Incidentally, my favorite Spanish word is 'kiss'.

- Is love the most important to you?
'Love is one of the most important things in life, but for me it is the most crucial. It is true that I write a lot about it but nobody can really define what love really is. Why is the line between love and hate is so close? Jealousy, guilt and worry are emotions foolish. Loyalty, trust, friendship and integrity are very important.

You were one of the drivers called the young Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé. Is it really the new Sinatra?
-By the way, a few minutes ago was talking to him and told me I was in Italy with his wife ... Returning to your question, yes, I have been part of Michael's career from the beginning. He and I have spoken many times of just that image of Sinatra. And he, very wisely, has agreed with me that there are no new Sinatra, there was only one Sinatra and Michael Buble there is only one. Both admire Sinatra. I, of course, I met him. In fact, I spent much time with Frank and I shared many of those experiences and stories with Bublé. And I'm very proud of Michael, is a great friend and a great artist, who has a long and exciting career ahead. I'll be there wherever and whenever he needs me, however small the reason why I require.

'Because Paul Anka is above all a fan of talent.
Yes, I really admire greatly talented people. In my view, the world of music and entertainment mediocrity always correspond to people without talent. And there, although it fair that these people would not get to make a name in the music world.

Culture club
Paul Anka starring in a big concert in Lio claiming the figure of 'crooner'

Pep Tur | Ibiza | 05/08/2012
At one time, now a little distant, where the club culture could not be used as now,
dedicated to electronic music tempos.
There was a time when these clubs were places like the Copacabana,
where singers like Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, Dean Martin or Perry Como
to the delight of several generations.
And a young man named Paul Anka stepped on that stage.
Yesterday, in Lio, a screen revived one of those nights where the singer was preparing
to jump on stage, but instead of entering the local New Yorker, Paul Anka, with its 71 years,
appeared on the platform next to the waters of the port of Ibiza, Dalt Vila
with their backs to twelve musicians surrounding him.
8)

And if a song could begin his concert, that could not be other than Diana,
the theme that launched him to stardom as a crooner and the audience chanted
from the beginning
. They were the twelve fifteen and Anka established from the outset
how the evening would unfold. Energetic, with an enviable voice, ran side by side the scene,
mixing between the public and even ceding it to a spectator who, unfortunately,
was brilliant with his melodic gifts.

Since then, the singer was like an animal club, aware of the mechanisms that turn on
the stalls and barely take a breath between songs.
Dressed in a suit, vest and tie, and send the canons, was chaining with other more current
classics and even a version of Jump by Van Halen, included in his album Rock Swings.
For Once in My Life, You Are My Destiny, My Hometown, In the Garden of Eden,
I've Got You Under My Skin and Put Your Head on My Shoulder
followed one after another while Anka changed the lyrics of some of them to recommend
to the public that will rotate the chairs onto the stage ("for the sake of their necks,"
remarked them) or ask the name of one of the attendees.
And the audience was king.
To the extent that the Angel Nieto exmotorista dance in front of him and he even got
to kiss the hands while bowing.

Your job as a composer was clearly highlighted while presenting some of his pieces:
"This was written for Barbra Streisand," or "for Buddy Holliday." or "for Tom Jones"
(good performance of She's a Lady). It was in the building for Streisand, Jubilation,
when exploited for the showcasing of his musicians, impeccable throughout the evening.

But there was the grand finale, which came in a tremendous chaining the unforgettable
My Way (who arranged for Sinatra from a French song) with New York, New York
and Twist & Shout.
The audience was standing, dancing and completely delivered.
But that was not all. There were still Proud Mary and Diana repeated to close about ninety minutes
of intense demand for the crooner, of that club culture
.
