Let the sunshine in....with awful extra lyrics?

Well that post below got me thinking, why the funk have they put those terrible new extra lyrics on top of Let the Sunshine? On the version thats getting played all over the Radio i mean....
 
I didnt realise that song was from the musical "Hair" it was on Rise the other morning!

And yeah dont like the extra lyrics bit :evil:
 
Donno which remix u've heard, but the best one IMO for this track is:

Milk & Sugar - Let The Sunshine In (Terrace Radio Edit)

This one was also the one which was overly played on Space terrace this summer.
