I've reached the sorry state now that I just don't listen to anything else except house! I feel quite ashamed actually about that, but it's music that makes me happy so funk it

in a bizzare way, when i had loads of free time i'd only listen to house. but now i hardly ever have free time, i listen to a much wider range of music.

faves at the moment are 'the killers':D and any form of samba music8)

Arctic Monkeys-WPSIA,TWIN
Sebastien Tellier-Politics
Desyn Masiello-Balance 008
Crazy P-A Night On Earth

The Desyn Masiello CD was bought just before Xmas and has been constantly on my iPod and in the car since then. That boy's a genius IMHO. It's even better than Danny Howells Global Underground CD....

how would people describe masiello's style.........invent categories if need be.:?

btw- deliberately avoided the word pigeonhole due to obvious buzzword and the role of 'double 0 buckley' from PRC (Predictable Response Consulting;) ) not to be confused with PRC (precast reinforced concrete:lol: )

Really not sure naddyz. I would say funky and eclectic (whatever that means!) First heard him on a Radio 1 download from Miami Winter Music Conference 2005. Missed him playing in Ibiza during the Summer and also at Type @ The Cross in the autumn. But have also bought his Bedrock album from a while ago, which is good too.

masiello is fantastic, the bedrock album is lovely and I saw him live at ministry a while back playing before sander k - he completely rocked the place and sander had to play out quite hard quite early which was funny - got rid of the chav contingent earlier though!

Its not had the best of reviews, but I really love Lawler's stuff and I liked it a lot......

Out of all 3, Lights Out 2 is my fav - CD2, its very dark, deep and dirty - just how I like my music so....... :?

Buy his stuff that he has done on Nubreed, a lot of people prefer that stuff to the Lights Out series....;)

yeah man, the nu-breed stuff is very good, altho I have & love lights out 1,2 & 3.

Looking to try & expand my house collection as feel I have been neglecting it of late, apart from GU & fabric i dont tend to buy any others, I know the Azuli compilations are meant to be good though?? I got Space 05 for xmas and Bought the John Digweed "choice" cd when it came out, any suggestions?

Have you got Deep Dish - George is On?
Deep Dish - Yoshiesque?

2 nice CD's to have in your collection imo.

At the moment I am going through a real big phase of buying in old stuff that I need (you know when you really really "need" a certain CD??  )

So just ordered off Amazon

Underwater Episode 1 with Tim Delux and Dazza (I know I had this and lent it out to someone but cant remember who to  )
Tyrant - Lee Burridge
Attention - Gus Gus
Misch Masch - Tiefschwarz

know exactly what you mean

theres a bedrock cd I think it's called "broken beats" i've been after for ages, thinks its by "dj hyper"

I have got both the "yoshiesques", your the 2nd person that has reccomended "george is on"

the recent "layered sounds" is good, have you got it?

George is On is an excellent CD - its sort of a mixture of Deep Dish styles plus their own individual styles - I really like it..... There's a track on it with Stevie Nicks's vocals on it - I hated it at first but now its sort of grown on me. My fav track on it is "I'm in love with a friend" ....

There's a "Bedrock Breaks: Hyper Fractured" - DJ Hyper is that the one you mean?

Layered Sounds 2 came out last year if that's the one you are talking about, then no, not got it.
