I know this has been a subject on here quite a few times and I have joined in the conversation but I have just been looking at my local college/uni to look into doing evening classes etc for the "mature" student.

But the one thing that is throwing me is which level is the beginners level so to speak, I just went on there and it was like reading dutch.

They all had letters next to them and there was SO many.

Is anyone here experienced with uni courses and understands the class references so I have some idea of what I am looking for??

not sure, 1 is prob level 1 and FY is foundation year of first year.

if it says initial spanish then it is beginners level. in my experience, people who were beginners joined any class in the first couple/few years and just had to fit in and found it ok.

have you got any spanish knowledge at all?? like at school.
