La Troya At Amnesia

We spent a few hours in Space, though it was a frightnengly awful atmosphere. Very gay, though very agressive, and it seemed like the standard Italian avoision to even a hint of a smile prevailed as it looked like a club of wannabe divas. We promptly went to a pre-arranged meet at Privilege after a few hours.

One plus was that, with the new Terrace, Space, as a nightclub, is 100 times better than the old "inside only" setup for do's between midnight and 8am.
Agreed, mostly. I think what changed the atmosphere was just everyone being packed in a smaller space. At Amnesia, you could avoid easily avoid the attitude but it's harder on the Space terrace.

That said, the terrace is a proper nightclub venue and certainly better than the discoteca at Space imo.

The original La Troya is a gay party, right? So which you reckon is 'gayer' :D ?

Definately amnesia...La Troya is usually a tops off camp muscle/tranny fest.
At Space it was spot the gayer. Women everywhere too - which is perfectly fine by me!...but these weren't 'friends of gayers' women  or fans of la troya, they were just Spanish randoms.

Conclusion -

* Gays aren't interested in music and club politics and will just follow what they know.

* Both clubs are desperate to outdo each other and freebies are being given out left right and centre...hense a fairly regular looking Home of La Troya crowd. Promoters were obviously given instructions to pack Space out no matter what.

* Sadly, amnesia have won the day - which seems very unfair. But when have club wars in Ibiza ever been fair? Hopefully this will inspire that Brasilio blokie to come up with a new and even better concept for next year. It is about time after all...I was getting bored of that same Baby Marcello image on the flyers every week.

What time did you leave, Robder? I thought the exact same thing when I came (What the hell are all these women doing here?!) but I thought the crowd got more "proper La Troya" by 3ish...

Then again, it might just have been the area we occupied at the top of the stairs

That's when I arrived. ;)

OK, well as yesterday was Wednesday I'm assuming that there was another La Troya night to compare and contrast. So, who went to La Troya at Space and who went to La Troya at Amnesia? And what is the verdict? I'm looking for neutral, unbiased reports by those who do not have an axe to grind against one or the other. I am secretly hoping that the Amnesia night is still good fun and worth attending simply because I am already going to Space for Matinee and Gorgeous and so would like some variety. So, is Amnesia's La Troya really not worth going to? Is it completely boring or is it still fun and busy?

This is the last section of my clubbing schedule which I have yet to decide upon and its giving me a headache!

Thanks!

ROFL isnt La Troya all about Trannies, Gays, Lesbians and people who just wanna go out dressed up all wacked out..??

I have nothing against Gay people, but who wants to be straight in a club full of gays. I think i will pass on that.

I basically thought that the Home of La Troya was during the day at Space and it moved onto the Amnesia Terrace after Space..?? Thats what i was told from a PR guy.... Oh well i may be wrong. :(
