Kylie Minogue...

very sad indeed and do hope she recovers fast and fully. but at the same time im not sure it deserves al the press it's getting (i also know this is not her fault at all). i have known several people who have had equally or worse illnesses, some who luckilly recovered some who sadly didn't. funilly enough none of these hit the news. i know no one is interested in these cases about people they don't know and kyle's breast cancer is a subject that admittedly i was interested (not sure thats the right word!) to hear about myself. as ever though there are other things going on on the world that deserve more coverage. if she is no longer on the news at the end of the week then fair enough. if she is then im not gonna rant bout it as i can't really be arsed as ill be too busy partyin after my last exam! (total topic change but what the hey!) but you get my point im sure. and kylie honestly you have my support. :D

Ah, but we care about our stars. And that's more true nowhere than in the UK, where your top selling newspapers are devoted to dishing on them. Naturally, it's a front-page Sun story.
 
Surely it's a good thing that the media is covering the story cos it raises awareness of cancer and the good that cancer charities do, and if it encourages just one more person to check their breasts etc then something positive can come out of it.
 
Mia - I imagine Kylie wants nothing more than for the press to piss right off at the moment. Babs - you're absolutely correct and thats the reason why we have celebrities, role models imo.

lol stuie it was tongue in cheek, i just meant an anastacia like comeback, kylie hasn't quite relaunched herself as much as say, madonna has, but im hopin she gets better so she can make more poptastic songs and look oh so hot in those videos of hers :)

yeah ok that is a good point i agree. if its going to help other people then it can only be a positive thing. stuie i imagine she properly does want the press to sod off, would like to point out my rantings were not an attack on the woman herself. i haven't got it in me to kick a person when there down.
