Fair play to you for getting the drinks in when you're clearly earning a decent salary.

It'd just be physically impossible, I reckon, to spend that much money in Glasgow, even in you were buying bottles of Moet at some rate.

I'm not one for buying Champagne in clubs - it looks daft.

As I said, I don't always do that much cash and aim not to from now on. It's not right.

In my pre-current days I used to regularly stay out all weekend, end up a girl I was seeing in Clapham on Sunday night and get a cab across London for £45 to pick up my car on a Monday morning. Not sure even I'd waste like that any more

Please - when the wheels come off my business and I'm destitute at 35 - don't remind me of that.

having spent £500/600 quid.

Could you sacrifice one night out and pay my mortgage please Buckley?

That sort of comparison is why it's obscene and I won't be doing it anymore. But if I ever feel the need I'll just send you a cheque instead Stuski!

Good good, will look forward to that day (address to be pm'd  ) and then i can have a decent night out :D

My costs just run away with me half the time I dont even know how much I have spent until two days later and I am going through my pockets and find lots of receipts for cash machines- I like to share stuff with my friends who are out for the night, and if that means getting drinks in the house for before and after clubbing then that's cool, I quite often find myself making phone calls and detours on way home to pick up extra if supplies are running low for others to join in too... if it seems excessive then my excuse is the same as Buckley - its not every weekend, but I do like to splurge every now and again and if I am splurging then I make sure everyone else is having a good night too! :D

I just hope your friends aren't taking advantage of your good nature.

Swings and roundabouts - when they have it - they splurge - works both ways...... and no, no one takes advantage of me - I have a two strike rule... ;)

I been reading the post and i understand completly. average weekend (no car rental and hotel) I easily spend about 200 - 500 euro on drinks, food and club fees. It actually ends up being cheaper for me if I get party favors and don't drink. 8O But if I do this, I normally end up renting a car, gettng a hotel room, so the savings end up going to that easily. A really cheap night (local bar and club ONLY!!) will run me about 70 to 150 euro depending on how much I drink. I'm still not adding in how much I spend on clothes if I feel that I just have to have something new to wear to the club when I go out. Go ahead and add another 250 to 300 dollars (yes dollars, not euro) :( for a completly new outfit, including shoes (cause yes it really is the shoes) and my good I'm spending an insane amount of money to go out!!! :( I need a new, cheaper hobby.... maybe I should become a health nut and stop chasing the ladies....

okay thanks guys for all the news on your decadent outings, but the question remains, are they still doing the open air music thing in the evenings / sunset?

yes! kumharas is back for good WITH music.

i thought spending £100 on a night out up here was bad - and that includes getting drinks in. i think if i went to the bank the next day and saw my balance minus 5-600 quid id actually cry

I will never go there again!...left my car in front of the entrance ( like I did the last 150 years)...police came, took 60 euros...a gin tonic in kumharas costs nowadays 15 euros...and at the end the staffgirl asked me if I would like to buy a cd from kumharas  ....so thats not the kumharas I remember the years before,...thatswhy goodbye!!!
