Love this laid back place - and brilliant that the villa is only a 5 min drive away...... fantastic..... 8)

fantastic, my dad's arriving tonight. he absolutely loves kumharas! he never stops laughing from the time he gets there till the bill for the ale arrives.
one of his quotes 'do none of these people look in a mirror before they come out?'

This is news? How long have you known? Couldn't you have got Cilla to spring it on Stephen on 'Surprise, Surpise'?

"Here she is chuck, the sister you never knew you had. She's travelled a lorra, lorra miles to be here - PuppyLover! No, chuck, she's behind that white cloud - she's just sneezed!"

Yup...saw the weekend post. Very good PL! I'm just being extra pious because I was very, very good this weekend. Went to Brighton for Sat/Sun and instead of getting trashed, just enjoyed the hotel pool etc. Came home feeling healthier than when I went - how often does that happen?!

I think the Pups household could do with a little bit of this sort of pampering - Mr PL is soooo stressed at the moment with his business, hence the flu bug, and its quite disturbing to watch him getting more and more run down ..... all plans for madness are on hold until I can get him fit and well and running on full power again..... Nurse Pups is in the house!

It's actually far cheaper too. Hotel room was £120 including a lovely breakfast and nice gym/pool facilities. So... that's 2 you know whats plus £20. And all the money we didn't spend on loads of booze, cabs etc saved!

You are so right - last weekend of madness cost us about £300 in all, so working on your calculations I could have two nights of R&R - the only prob being that we have to find a hotel that takes Pups Pup (as we have run out of friends to bribe to look after the high maintenance little bugger)

Having said that - just seen a weekend in a log cabin up at Keilder Water and its only £250 between 5 people - that way the dog comes too, we walk, bike ride and rest for two days and its only an hour's drive from Newcastle So........ :D

Did lots of calculations like this weekend. The amount of money I spend if I go on a bender is obscene. It's just not right. I can go out on a Saturday night at 8 o'clock and come back at midnight on Sun having spent £500/600 quid.

Sometimes people say "that's impossible". But it's not. And it's just so, so wrong

Well when you consider getting all the goodies in, drinks in the club, plus drinks for before and after when you have pre-club and post-club get togethers, cab fares, ciggies, blah blah blah - it really does mount up to a disgusting amount of money (yet when in Ibiza I never seem to spend £300 on a night out x6 - we would be bankrupt by now if it did  )

I'm sorry but 8O

Do you buy drinks for everyone in the club or do vast amounts of top-grade cocaine?

I earn less than that in a week. In fact, if you earn that in a week after tax, you're looking at earning £35k+ a year.

Are you secretly a Premiership footballer?

I'm not suggesting I do that every week Clara......

Fair play to you for getting the drinks in when you're clearly earning a decent salary.

It'd just be physically impossible, I reckon, to spend that much money in Glasgow, even in you were buying bottles of Moet at some rate.
