Kumharas (cheers Mckracken)

Just got back from Ibiza this morning, and I have to say that Kumharas is by far the best sunset bar. It is not commercialised like cafe del mar and it is just a really cool laid back place to watch the sunset. The music, the furniture, the setting all combine to make it a memorable experience.

For people travelling down to it from San Antonio you can get a water taxi for 1.8 euros from the harbour that will take you to san antonio bay it is just a short walk round the rocks from there.

Definitely the for the more discerning crowd and not the beer heads

decks, if I havent said it then welcome to this board. How was it??? tell us more........

also: did you notice if Kumharas had these breakfast offers as last year?

Hi Ibiza-girlie, thanks for the warm welcome! It was awesome. We went there on about three or four times, mostly at sun set but also once later on during the evening. The first evening we went was Sunday 16th May. It had just opened the night before. The vibe at that place is awesone. And just for everybody here it is...

They had posters up for yoga or something but I couldnt tell you the details as I only briefly read them. By the way they have a CD now but I dont think it is mass produced jobby. It is rather good though!!!

Glad to hear this wonderful spot is still going - when we went in August 2000 almost spent every evening there, very nice menu as well, nice down tempo psy trance, good place to hook up with that scene as well.

Yes, and the more you post this tip in the forums it will be more and more a british tourist location.

But happily there are a few locations around San Antony where no tourists are.

bloody hell, drag up an old post why dont ya    However, after seeing how amazing the place was last year, will be there on monday night :D :D :D fancy a beer Mcrackin? ;)

Kumharas, Kumharas, lost count of how many times I've been there over the last few years. I always walk along the coast because I stay near Playa Pinet, the only drawback being that you have to walk past hotel Milord (about 3 mins from Kumharas) where you're likely to hear "Viva Espana", "Here we go", or, on a good night, the Hokie Cokie. McRakin, I hate to say this, but on my last visit to Kumharas the sunset was applauded by about 20 people, can this be stopped??

im definately never going again, the place was a MEGA dissapointment the last time I was there. twice we were served with complete disrespect from this long haired monkey in the bar, what an arrogant bastard! drinks were not chilly, he was such an arse and was too busy speaking spanish with his spanish mates!

no atmosphere or nothing! I´d recomment the hippie marked rather than going to that semi-authentic place again.
I used to LOVE it but was soooo dissapointed by the treatment.........

Sorry to hear that!!! I actually thought the opposite, was well impressed and thought it didn't have any of the commercialism of the strip.

Was very chilled out and the food was amazing. I also thought the service was good too!! Perhaps you went on an off day? :(

I do not think it had anything to do the language with your disappointment or did it had?, I obviously don't understand why do you emphasize the language he was using and the nacionality of his mates. I think is a big disrespect to call monkey not even to a dog.
If I misunderstud your point I ask your pardon.
