Hi all,

We are off to the island at the end of August staying in San Jose. My question to the ibiza veterans is how far out of San Jose is KM5? To my shame i've never been there before... and i cant seem to find it on any of the bar / clubbing maps on t'interweb.

It's 5km from Ibiza Town on the Ibiza Town - San Jose road on left hand side if you're coming from Ibiza Town.
 
san jose is at km12 on the road from i-town to san an. i'm not ashamed to say i've never been there either. it's a cheesefest!
 
Really? I've heared good reports.

I've heared its not really a banging night out, more a place to chill out, eat drink and generally rest your ear drums for a day before you get back on the harsh tasty beats.

Describe cheesefest, are we talking DJ Sammy cheese (please god no) or vocal house?

The music and the whole place is very chilled, we always go and eat there, it's one of my fave restaurants on the island and then sit and have a few drinks in the tents.

I've been reading posts by some people, and they've planned a club in for every night 8O :o. We are gonna need somewhere to chill for a bit, and KM sounds good.

I wouldn't last the week if I went out every night?!

So whats the food like Barbie??

Well I'm veggie but everyone I know who has the steak there says it's the best steak they've ever had. They do some lovely fish dishes, I had some yummy seabass that was cooked to perfection the other week.

Expect to pay around 100 euros for a meal for 2 plus wine, water etc.

The staff are lovely too.

Still have the best meat in ibiza.
Vacca Argentina was a disgrace; their meat was awful.
