Yes, you read correctly, after nearly five years of rocking the fabulous arches of Mission, Leeds' premiere house brand, Kissdafunk is getting a shiny new home. From May 29th, 2009 KDF's flagship event is launching its monthly Friday night party at The 02 Academy, Leeds. The move enables KDF to move into a new era, giving the team flexibility in bringing different acts to Leeds.
KDF founders Rob and Tolley explain;
"We'd like to thank all the Kissdafunk fans for supporting us at Mission over the past five years. We've had some of the best times of our lives there; but we now feel it's time to move on. We hope to see you at our new home - the 02 Academy, Leeds. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the guys at Mission for a fabulous time; the venue was a key part of our success and. We plan to continue working with the team with some future events at their sister venue The Victoria Works."
The Dirty Disco, James Zabiela dance event sold out at 02 Academy in March and KDF expects to emulate this success on 29th May, welcoming two of its biggest stars from the past five years, Steve Angello and Dirty South. Early bird tickets are on sale now.

Since his popular appearance at KDF over 12 months ago his global popularity has continued to rise since his remix of Kaskade's 'Sorry' was nominated for an Grammy for best remix. Since then he's worked with Mark Robson, Meck, Pussy Cat Dolls and Snoop Dog to name a few.
