Keeping a chilled bod in a hot office ?

Don't get me wrong I totally love hot summers 8) but only when I'm out there in the outside world NOT when I'm stuck in a boiling hot office without air con

I'm wearing next to nowt today. Any more flesh showing and I'd be arrested by security or pounced on by the notorious office rimmer :) - I just know he wants me - who the hell wouldn't

I have a fan stationed about an inch from my face. So close my eyelashes keep getting stuck in the mechanism.

I have my water stolen from the next door cooler when they disapeared for a meeting (I have to steal it cos my boss won't pay for any out of his cost centre :spank: ). . .

But I'm TOOOOOO hot.

I want to be outside and taking in the rays with a cold drink but I'm stuck here til 4.

How are people remaining cool ??

I'm starting to get the impression that I'm in the wrong job !

Everyone else out there seems to be working under conditions of absolute luxury :)

We've got air con but its pretty useless most of the time. Id rather be cold than boiling hot but if it gets anywhere near comfortable the girls decide its too cold and turn it all off which usually breaks the system and leaves me with the hump for the rest of the day.

Air Con all the way....

But it's started to spit with Rain here in Brighton Half an hour ago

I'm wearing my high cut speedos to work tomorrow.

Glad we've got good AC here... I don't even bother removing my suit jacket. (so no one can see my speedos ;))

We always have discussions because of the air con. Boys on suit and girls in sandals and light dresses don't have the same temperature. In the administration deptarment you can see staplers flying when the air con discussions gets too heated (and become fights) 8O

BTW, in Spain in summer lots of enterprise change their timetable and they work from 8 to 3 non-stop, that's an heritage of the old days when there was no air-con and it was impossible to work in the afternoon

Don't you have air-con at work ste? 8O It must be obliged by law and all the sindicatos should make inspections to check everybody has an air-con near the desk.

I never have so much joy going to work as in summer afternoons

i work from my house - i've converted my apartment into an office/den and the unions would be happy to learn that i have a/c, a flat telly, dvd, sat receiver, stereo, kitchen (with booze cupboard) sofa, bed and dog all within 5 metres.
