Kate and Pete to wed in Ibiza
Ooh, he’s a one, that Pete Doherty… and no, we’re not talking about the drug-taking, the court appearances and the penchant for dodgy headwear. We’re talking about the cunning red herrings he’s been planting about his forthcoming nuptials to Kate Moss.
Just a few weeks ago, the Babyshambles singer was telling the world that he and La Moss were going to be getting hitched in a Scottish castle this autumn. But now it’s been revealed that the couple are in fact planning a summer wedding – on the island of Ibiza.
According to the Daily Star on Sunday, Kate and Pete have told close family and friends to keep August 7 free for a “special” celebration – and a spy says this is the date they’ve set for their wedding on Kate’s favourite Balearic island. “She is hiring a modern villa in the San Antonio region, and it’s pure luxury,” says the source. “As well as exclusive views of the sea and an enormous pool, it has a Moroccan tent and an oriental feel, with cushions on a low-seated area outside. They’re also enquiring at Eat-Ibiza, which does wedding catering in a relaxed style.”
The friend adds that Kate has already discussed her ideas with good pal Stella McCartney – and it’s thought that she will also design her wedding dress, just as she did for Madonna. Ooh, a fancy dress, a fancy villa, fancy food “in a relaxed style”… We’ll take it our August 7 invitation is in the post, guys?!
