Kandi Heds Down To Canvas For A Very Special Xmas Spectacula

A few of my friends really want to go to the above night on Dec 18th the dilema I have is will I like the music :?:
I am not a massive fan of the Hed Kandi albums as I find them a bit too slow and funky. Having said that reading the description of the party it says that thewre will be 10 Kandi DJ's and several rooms which must mean that there will be a harder sound to be found somewhere :?: My personal taste is more towards the electro/big bass line stuff ala Space terrace 8)
Anyone got any thoughts or for that matter anyone going, it says on the website that Canvas holds 3000 people 8O

Thanks

Yes £40 which is all the more reason I want reassurance that it will be a really good night as opposed to just an OK night (music wise of course)

you may also wish to consider:

Underwater @ The End
Saturday Sessions Christmas Party @ MOS

both on the same night.

both will be better i imagine!

Imo there are waaaaayyyy better things on in London Town on the 18th - Ministry Christmas party with Jon Carter, Mutiny, Mark Knight etc etc or Underwater @ The End - Dazza Emerson and Tim Deluxe, both would be more suited to your music taste. At best at Hed Kandi you can expect the year's greatest hits

ummm, sorry I'm not much help, I havent been to Canvas since it was Bagleys, but I didnt think much of the club then, but then some people have said that its been done up really nice.

Although hed kandi albums are a bit fluffy, I did go to HK at Pacha once, and the music did get a bit heavier than the albums, but I didnt really enjoy the music that night, got a bit boring.

Sorry if that not much help, but its all I have to offer. If you do decide to go I hope you have a good night ;)

Canvas is ok. It's obviously a large venue and not very intimate. Still feels quite industrial and it's not to my taste. Music wise if you're into the Space sound with big basslines I can't see you enjoying a hed kandi night. I wouldn't waste my money to be quite honest with you

I can't believe I have just read this! Who do they think they are these days? I hope it's empty because there is no way this can be justified. Not even the £40 ticket can be justified when compared to MOS line up that same night for £12 :?

They are completely taking the piss, you only pay £45 for an 18 hour festival in the middle of the summer with some of the worlds best DJs, not £40 for a bag of shite like this

I can see it being a massive flop cos there's so much else good on in London Town that whole wkend, and it serves them right if it is for being so greedy

Oh dear I was afraid that you would all say that
Sounds just like the other night when I went to City Loud at Turnmills - Great club, great company in terms of the people I was with but music never really got going for me.

Isn't it difficult to find a night to suit everyone especially when they have a variety of tastes :? Its one reason that last Fri that Heaven was so good because you had full on Trance downstairs provided by Gatecrasher and Vandit DJ's then middle floor was big base line/Electro/funky then the top floor was light and fluffy funky.

So the question is where do I find another place that offers me this that I can then go about weaning them off Hed Kandi :?:

Any  welcome
