just had another go at mixing!!!

Practice my dear, practice.

Just got a set of decks last December but the only time I seem to do it properly is when I've either come in from the pub or a club! :lol:

Same as chick, ive drunk a bottle of julio julio wine so im havin a go :lol:, its best to practice with the same two records aparently. I have done it perfect a couple of times and i seem to be just out a little bit with other tracks. Im sure i'll be fine with loads of practice :lol: :lol:

It is hard tho isnt it :lol:

Yep, but nothing beats the feeling when you finally get it right, through your arms into the air shouting "yippee" only to feck up the next record! :lol:

same as me. i havent got decks but my mate (geezamenchnie on here) has them and we played a wee set on sunday night after the club. blinding it was. unless that was the drink that was affecting my hearing. :roll:

the first time driving a bicycle is very hard but when you get the grasp of it it turns out to be extremely easy...
the same goes for mixing..... try to trow in a 3th or 4th record to keep it fun ;)
 
Theres the mambobird, what a studette. :D

Beat matching for me as a beginner is kinda like bowling... I seem to be way better after a few beverages. Maybe because I am not concentrating too hard on being perfect with it... just relaxing and letting it flow, not getting too frustrated.

TOO MUCH drink (like a couple weekends ago when I went to the neighbor's house for an afterparty and started drinking cab like it was water) and your fingers turn in to noodles though hahaha.
 
Keep it up Ms. Birdette, as I was all over the place when I started pottering on the decks .... finally did my very own mix CD in April of this year. (Can't say it's brilliant, but it works!) (Now I've no time to play on the decks as I'm working and too knackered at the end of the day to bother :( )
