from a (very) long weekend and thought I'd share some thoughts with y'all!!
Went to Hed Kandi opening night on Saturday. Very dissapointed with the music and DJ's. Also very suprised when this fat yank started dj'ing as he was on our flight out and was rude to the air stewardesses and made a bit of a pratt out of himself.
Sunday went to Space. Steve Lawler was wicked, playing top tunes. I wouldn't mind a copy of his set if anyone knows if it was recorded (please help?). I think he finished with Back to my roots. Superb stuff.
Weather was very hot... the thermometer in San An said 36c on Monday afternoon!! That explains the red forehead!
After reading on the forum about HTP-5 thought I'd invest in some. They worked a treat for me. No bad comedowns at all. Not one!!
Lastly ... hello to Nikki and Tammy from Milton keynes if youre reading this.

hed kandi

What was it about the music at Hed Kandi ????

WE love them and buy all of their complations and always go to their nights so dissapointed by your review, however I do have to say that they pissed me off last year by putting on the guest list and when I arrived at the club my two friends who had bought tickets went straight in and myself and other frien d who were on the guest list were left outside for an hour waiting to get in and one of their DJ's were telling people to move across into the paying Q which was flowing freely and were obviously having to pay more tha if they had bought a ticket before hand. We couldn't do that anyway because our mates had gone in with all the money!
Also when we did get inside it was rammed and very hot and un comfortable, they had let far to many people into El Divino and it spoilt the night. Also the live PA's were crap!!!!!

I only hope its better this year although I have to say I don't think it will ever be the same as it was when they did the back room in Ibiza in 2003!
I think as soon as a label starts to get bigger the quality and respect for their followers drops!!

Was planning to go to their night at Pacha in London in July, is it worth it??????????????

I didnt like the music as it was a bit "wet" for me. Too much vocal without much beat. The sound system was a bit dissapointing as well.
One great comedy moment though..... one bloke off his face didnt spot the rope separating the VIP area, walked straight into it and sort of flipped round it onto the floor. He got up, checked to see who had seen him then danced off!!!

I can already see that happening with hed kandi, unfortunately all the promoters can see in their eyes is $ $
Shame really

Just got back

I enjoyed Hed Kandi on sat nite in el divino, stonebridge were a tad cheesy but ovcerall the night was great, its a lovely club, although ahving to see robbie fowlers ugly mush for 30 seconds was a nightmare..............

Was looking fwd to garlands in eden, massive dissapointment, people complain about clubs being jam packed in august this place was absolutely empty with every section closed off the place was still half empty..........thought there would be a great buzz and excitement about the night bit of a stinker, evreywhere seemed to be quiet

That's usually a stunt I end up pulling. Glad to see somebody else making an arse of themselves.
