Just back from ibiza

Hey all just back from Ibiza,

This must have been my 18th or 19th visit to the island.

No big clubs really for me as a few daytime bits going on. Few comments

San An

Wow everyone looked so young, more so than before, im probably getting old but honestly. That said few nice things going on, the new bar replacing the pussycat bar Rio looks lovely and the building is fitting in with the area. Looks like a good club upstairs too but didn't manage to get in it this visit.

Café Mambo / Del Mar etc

As always the jewel in San Ans crown, love the area and still do.

Westend

The westend has undergone a bit of change this year, Play2 has gone so has Eden Corner (or what ever it was called) its now called faces. What I noticed was that a lot of these bars are now being marketed as RnB, hip hop not sure if they were busy we didn't go in but at least 3 or 4 now advertising this.

Hush - Was really dead, love that bar but I think it needs a little re think, Music was slow and boring and the expensive drinks meant we didn't stay long. Atmosphere was cold and non existent, shame as is usually our highlight.

Ocean Beach

Surprisingly really enjoyed this, yes its very expensive but its a good fun day out with a nice vibe, music not banging but a good place to have a laugh and catch up with friends that you don't see very often. Service was pretty good and Menu was decent too.

PDB

Really enjoyed time on PDB beach by Jet / bora Bora but one thing I noticed what a tip the beach is left in, rubbish everywhere and those laughing gas canisters EVERYWHERE really spoils what could be a beautiful place IMO. Bora Bora beach bar seems to have had a stage added a big screen and a kind of festival roof type thing over the top, looking like a mini Ushuaia. Jet was mainly British crown and preferred the music and crown at Bora Bora.

Really weird and I did not see ANY Guardia Civil in fact only say the policia once at Bora Bora doing a random search.

Lots of Looky Looky men about still and African and Romanian Gypsy prostitutes trying to rob people and generally hassle you. The bit of San An between the Kiosk / Orange corner to Ocean Beach is so bad for this, its almost dangerous.

Overall had a great time and all intentions to go back next we stayed at the Casa Maria apartments, basic but safe secure and always made to feel welcome.
 
Good little write up! The beach outside Bora Bora has always been a tip, you should see it at 5/6amish its a state, but every day the tractor comes along to clean it and people are there picking up rubbsih, the thing that annoys me is how much of that trash gets in the ocean, and how many little bits of broken glass there could be, but as long as Jet and Bora Bora have their music playing loudly, it will always be like that

I had no idea about the changes in the West End, I havent been for so long, tend to avoid if in San Antonio and go for the sunset strip.. Play2 shutting wow! Thats is an orignal Ibiza club right there lol, been there for years!!
 
Totally agree re Bora beach area. Its very sad to see the state of some of the rubbish, not just some of the clients ;) lying on the beach even from 5/6 pm in the evening after walking up from Nassua / Tanit area. The amount of shite strewn everywhere including the many plastic bags floating in the sea from cans etc is just sad. It really adds a dirty element to the area and shows a lot of people love to come to Ibiza but half as much dont love ibiza for the beautiful Mediterranean paradise it is surrounded by stunning wildlife.. Sad but true. Still always nice to look at the wildlife on show at Bora ;)
 
Hush doesn't get going Til after 3 most times I've been.

Yeah that stretch after orange corner is brutal I've witnessed men being dragged to the floor on the beach. I always taxi home after an incident where my friend had to give a African woman the right hook

Dragged to the floor? By who? I'm staying round there I think near Es paradis if that's where it is? Went to San Antonio in September 2014 but stayed in the bay so got taxis in and out so didnt see anything bad at all

The African women by far the worst. What they do is they watch for people who are drunk and by themselves and follow them onto the beach near orange corner where it's dark. There's like a patch after Ibiza rocks where it's pitch black and then 2 of them pull the person to the floor and rob their pockets

Ye they are by far the worst. And usually have a load off when u say no. Not sure why the police don't tackle them as they make it pretty obviously why they are there. Always in the same place aswell shit load's of them
 
Yup, I have a friend, big guy, robbed by one of the African women when he was coming back from Mambo on his own and in a mess. Watch, wallet, gone.
 
We should all just carry empty wallets and plastic watches and let them rob us am sure they would get bored eventually haha
 
During the daytime too, the African women that grab your arm and put the string round it, I got done by this once and they proper grab your arm hard and dont let go until you give them money, something should be done about them...
After this we started annoying them by saying dont go near them loudly when we walked past causing other people to hear and do the same, they would shout at us! Its broad daylight mugging

These women used to be situated across the road from Es Paradis (can't remember the name of the bar on that corner of the beach) and they were absolute hell! Don't know if they are still around that area now...

The walk from Itaca to Ocean Beach was always pitch black and horrendous in the early hours, I'd always suggest steering away from that area. Men getting robbed because they were blind drunk and 'easy targets' I guess!

I also do this but the words I shout sometimes get louder
 
How often do the Police or guardia civil drive by just to show they are there? Coming back from Benidorm, didnt see any looky looky, plenty of police driving by, the muggers were people who you wouldnt expect i.e couples etc no dirty prostitues either

I am taking on in september with a note saying 'better luck next time' written on it, i have my money in a belt under my shirt flat to my stomach hidden, those women by the egg on the beach side make me sick and god knows how they are there ALL the time????? guardia, hello??

they were last year and i am pretty sure they will be this year too...
 
Been grabbed by them a couple of times over the years. Tend to just walk on the opposite side of the road from them to be honest. That being said, I have a mate who thinks it's funny to see how close he can get to them without them grabbing him - I won't tell you what he calls this game :twisted::eek::D
 
They usually congregate by the storm drain just past Linekers bar before the hotels on the beach start.

Two years one of the women came up to me, and asked "How about a blowjob" I left her confused by replying. "Sorry love i'm terrible at them!
