Yes same path as Stella and peroni, just not the same.. the San Miguel here on draught is very good

Moritz! Had it once on the island at Cana Pepeta a few years ago. First time I’d seen it and I was surprised to be given a beer that wasn’t one of the usual classics. I was driving that night so definitely savoured it even more than usual. Never saw it anywhere else again.

Estrella is usually the 'default' here when you ask for a caña/cerveza/jarra (or tanque lol). Not like UK where you ask for the actual brand at the bar. Followed by San Miguel (way too gassy for me) or Estrella Galicia (the big success of recent years).
A lot of the students/kids in the 'botellones' tend to go for Xibeca which is probably the cheapest in the supermarkets. Inferior to Estrella though. And Corona is more upmarket, usually found at food truck/music things. Moritz is pretty popular now too.
Aside from Heineken i don't see that many global beers. Stella, Kro etc. Unless you're at some specialist pub.
The cool crew are all into craft beer/homebrewing but not for me..

not my fave at all, but in the south of spain it's very popular!
my two faves are estrella galicia and alhambra - but alhambra I'll only drink one or two

About Cruzcampo, never thought much of it, then had it by accident at Cafe Benitez in San An, they had changed from E Galicia and I didn't notice at first. (not been there in the last couple of years, (might have been more changes) anyway, seems to have more body to me than it used to, tried it other places as well. San Miguel on the other hand always a bit watery! Maybe it's just me but my tastes overall haven't changed, still the cheap wine etc.
