A little 7 day taster in June and then you get back knowing that you've still got your main 2 weeks in September

well everything is good or bad depending on how you see it...i will still have a vacation to be looking forward to, with my friends in greece so I wont mind

Has to be September for me. If you go in June, you'll come home and just want to back out again, at least if you go in September, the season is pretty much finished.

You get round that by doing both

I did that in 1999, I went for a week in June and a week in September and it was fantastic - they are my fave months to go
