I never knew you could get burnt even in the shade

Yesss, if the air is hot your skin burns even if you are in the shade, be carefull especially next to the sea, the hot air and salt is a very dangerous combination for very withe skins.
Cheers.

There's a word in Portuguese for the heat caused by extreme hot days, it's mormaço. And, believe me, if you're too white, do use sunscreen when hiding in a shadow, because mormaço can cause you severe sun burns.

It's not the air that will burn you, but the reflexion of the sun rays on the sand.

I know it for experience, a few of years ago I was really burnt and I was all day under the sun umbrella. If you take care you want get burnt.
So be carefull, if you are there is not problem. :D
