To be honest, you sounded a bit too convinced that your option is the only right, and I don't discuss with owners of the absolut truth, specially in english
To be honest, I thought you were the one convinced that your option was the only right one. I was just talking about the system I've set up which works very well, is very easy to replicate, and could be useful to people here.

No big deal! Fuggedaboutit! ;)

As for Buckley, Grego. Don't you have anything better to do! :spank:

(not sure if I'm supposed to explain?)
It's from the movie Donnie Brasco. When something is no big deal, Al Pacino and Johnny Depp are always saying to each other "forget about it", but alltogether as one word - fuggedaboutit.

But you have to say it with a strong New York accent. the Brooklyn version, I think

Yes that's the one. Isn't it a very romantic and lovely place to start a weekend away?

Yes it's very lovely and very nice food - I prefered the food and setting at that place in the sky but you wouldn't catch me going up there again 8O

JJ, there's more to life than the iPod.

By that, I mean it's a good idea to rip all your CDs onto your computer even if you don't load them all onto your iPod (I carry an iPod mini... only 4gb but more portable). It took me 3 weeks at about 50 discs a day.. I was taking 10-15 discs with me to work, and using 2 computers at home in the evenings! But it was worth it.

Now, I've got my whole collection on my desktop and on an old extra laptop with the sole purpose of sitting on the shelf plugged into my stereo (oh, and to show random photos like a picture frame when the screensaver is on.).

I love my discs, and spent hell of a lot of money on them, so they're still displayed in a bookcase in the living room. But I never take them out... when I want to listen to some music, I just walk up to that laptop and choose an album.

Seeing all your music as a list on the screen makes it easy to not forget your older albums too... the other night, I loaded up some R.E.M. for a change of pace 8)

agree totally Johnny, however I gotta crawl before I can walk and I got a wife to service too.....savvy?? ;)

and WTF happened to the thread????

Thanks.
I have troubles enough to talk in english accent, let alone New YOrk or Brooklyn one

and when youve got them on your computer id recommend backing them all up to DVD, so if the worst happens, you have them backed up as data disks and can put about 1000 back on your computer from DVD instead of putting them all on from original CD and taking forever
