The wait is over! This summer, Josh Wink will finally release the follow-up to his critically acclaimed mix album ‘Profound Sounds Vol. 1’ released back in 1999. The DJ, producer, remixer, and label owner of Ovum has put together another amazing mix that spans the best in electronic dance music. The first in the series was a favorite to many, and featured different genres of electronic music ranging from the ambient to serious headbanging techno of producers like Johannes Heil & Heiko Laux, Percy X, Christian Smith & John Selway, and Stacey Pullen amongst others.

Josh Wink has worked hard since he became one of the world's most in demand DJ/remixers. In 1995, he topped the charts worldwide and became a star in Europe with ‘Don't Laugh’, ‘I'm Ready,’ and ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ (pictured above). Josh is an inspiring DJ to those who know him from the early 90s and his amazing mix tapes. Music changes, time changes, and therefore Josh has put some of his early work as well new tracks (to be found on PF2 as well) online and available for download. Tracks include Wink’s ‘Are you there?’, ‘Sixth Sense’ feat. Ursula Rucker, and his massive ‘Superfreak (Freak)’ track. Check the link below.

Josh Wink’s ‘Profound Sounds Vol. 2’ is due out the end of June/early July, and was officially released at Wink’s monthly residency at Fluid Nightclub in Philadelphia last night. This weekend, Josh Wink spins respectively at Crescent Room in Atlanta and at Trust in Baltimore.
