hmm

apparently we didnt make him feel "wanted"? I mean that was obvious when we didnt stand by him when he:

Used a teammates eye as an ashtray

Coshed & bitch slapped a 12yr old Evertonian in Thailand, injuring Dunney in mellee that followed

Dropped his kecks to the Everton Fans

Beat up a taxi driver

Tried to eat the face off one his team mates after some rough training

Im just surprised he stayed as long as he did!!

Im glad that Newcastle make him feel wanted, as now being "wanted" he has something in common with most of his family!!!

To me all that shows is indicipline within the Manchester City club containing Managers and staff who are unable to control different personalities.

Take not of your Glorious neigbours and remember the famous loose cannon Eric Cantona, went on to become a great.

Why? Because Alex Ferguson knew how to handle him

and possibly because Cantona was infinitelty better than Barton too??

Very True, maybe not a good comparison I admitt, but I think Man City have let a good player go.

I think he will go on to fullfill his potential at Newcastle, we shall see!

Are the Man City fans happy to see him go?

I think because he's been unsettled for over a year now (Willie Mckay has a habit of unsettling his players) I think we are just relieved it's over and we can move on. He's a good player, not a great player, it says alot for how crap we are that he stood above everyone else, but no player is bigger than a club and he will be replaced in time to be honest, he had become a liability and I always say once a player decides he's unhappy, get rid!!

Exactly.

I like how he said somewhere that he'd hope prospective managers would judge him on his perfomances on the pitch rather than his actions off it.

Which roughly translates as "I'm an unmitigated, nasty, irritating stroppy cu*nt, that will cause nothing but trouble within the club, but I can shine in the most mediocre and nondescript Man City sides since... whenever"

I can't believe anyone would be that thick to buy such a tw@t. It's like Anelka all over again.

Well, yeah, Anelka turned out ok for whoever eventually, but still, there were quite a few 'great' managers that bought him and then got their fingers burned/burnt ;) with the petulant sh1t (and his brother).

It's like women in soaps who go out with bad types thinking they can change them, only to treated like sh1t!

(isn't veron the player has had the most transfer fees)

re: burnt - did you see how morbyd miraculously disappeared from that thread when he was wrong. funny that??

70 grand a week is his wage.

70 grand. bonkers.

he is just not that good.

also viduka on a 3yr deal? at 31 - with his love of pies?

what is it with newcastle and chucking good money after bad?:?

can only hope sir michael gets out and back where he belongs (LFC!)

Yeah, Veron's blatantly got the only know photo in circulation of a massive Champions League manager gang bang or something!

Joke of a club

Joke of a player

He's still not gone...yet.

I must admit I did like Barton but he'd used up his last chance with the Dabo incident. Bit of a ****ty parting gesture to the fans who, on the whole, stood by him whilst at City.

Definitely not worth £70k a week either.
