Jockey Club Cala Jondal - any news??

what a venue. prob my fave in Ibiza. only every got there a few times but it had Balearic vibe written all over it.

Anyone heard a rumour it was going to reopen??!!

I'd love to hear a confirmation or a rebuttal.

Failing that what about peeps' memories of the place??

Its hidious the way they have bulldozed it, should not have been allowed to happen! So what if there wasn't sand!

yes, yes, yeeesss!...blue marlin is the name for insiders....i remember the time, when you only could go there by boat, or with a real good car ;) .....yuuuu, huuuuuuuuuuuuuu
 
I've actually been to the opening party of Blue Marlin two weeks ago. (Sin Plomo had his birthday party there) Really, REALLY stunning location, great decor, etc. Indeed shame about the lack of a proper beach; a sandy beach or even a pebble beach would have made it perfect. And no, 1-ft boulders do not count as pebbles. :)
 
Your welcome! :) Mike and Nel may have something to add, but I think we all agreed it was really nice. I might even be able to get my hands on some pics of the opening night, and will post them if/when they become available.

That bird must be very tired after flying all the way to your house. :)

But it would be a shame. I was actually (already!) looking forward to visiting it next year. Was any particular reason given?
 
same old story...they open it. the cops close it,...same with bar particular,...think the neigbours there want to have it calm ,....
 
last week it was open,....but they should make the place a littlebit more nicer,....it looks a bit chemical....but you can make a suberb club of it the location is one of my favorites!

I hope they will reopen bar particular some time :?
 
some BM news:

· the owner told us today that it might remain open during the winter (thursdays, fridays, saturdays, sundays)
· during the winter they gonna finish the kitchen and next year it will work as a restaurant too
 
more news:

last saturday they had a what's up? party with nano vergel and carlos diaz :!:

last year kato from what's up? opened ciao rosina in talamanca beach where he organized some cool parties during the winter but at the beginning of the summer it was closed by the police so BM would be a great location for his winter parties..........
