To expensive and living on it's reputation.

Stay 100 yards up the coast for a 3rd of the price.

Can you recommend anywhere please? I'm looking for an alternative to Jet for September.

ive got quite a good price. £450 for a fortnight and its got air con as well which normally ive never been able to get in ibiza at a decent price.

I stayed there last year and I think its value for money is fine - it was clean, a good size, balcony overlooked the beach and it was great to be able to just roll out to Bora Bora. We could hear the music from our balcony, which was perfect when we were all sitting out there having a drink before going out. Not so great if you're feeling really delicate or want to get some sleep in. The noise from fellow-guests wasn't too bad as it was right at the end of the season and it was starting to empty out, but I imagine it must be noisy 24/7 mid-season. The upside of this is that you don't have to feel guilty when your group's having a rowdy moment!

were going 1st 2 weeks in sept so id imagine it will have calmed down - slightly!

is there anywhere else round about there that anyone would recommend is better?

Bossa Mar is cheaper and on the same complex. I think it's the closest block of apartments to Bora Bora. :?

I stayed at the Tur Palas last year and it was fine.

I'd hate to be that close to Bora Bora that it dictated my sleep patterns.

Especially if DJ Gee wasn;t playing

Plus, my main attraction to Jet was always Ancient People, and now that's all changed...

Yeah, I want somewhere that bit quieter to escape to this year. Anyway, I'm boycotting Bora Bora.

I was looking at Tur Palas, but was put off by this review from Gecko2:
Tur Palas, Playa Den Bossa - 5/10
Good location right on the beach but facilities at the place were either dated or s**t. Shower was crap. Space/Bora Bora only 2 minutes up the beach. This is place is far too noisy, if you're out late or all night you'll get woken up everyday guaranteed, I'll never go back here. The photo in the brochure showed only 9 apartments which overlooked the sea and pool, the other 4,867,476 apartments are about 12 feet away from another block of apartments so privacy is at a minimum.

I think he wrote this a few years ago though, so it might have improved. Did you get one of the beachfront apartments? Who did you book it through?

What about some of the apartments on the way to Figuretas, Playa Sol, Tivoli etc. They're only about a 15/20min walk from Bora Bora, but are REALLY cheap (on expedia) and both decent sized and clean apartments.
I think we'll be staying in either one of them in June.

I just turned up.

If you can imagine walking up past jet (away from space), and you've got to turn left, up 50 yards, then right to the second section of the PDB Strip, well, if you go straight instead of turning left, there's a bix complex with loads of small hotels, which I think are mostly package deal families. Admittedly I took the first one I could, the guy showed me the room which had balcony/sea view etc, and was essentially the same as Jet. There were many in the complex (obviously enough) which didn;t have the sea views, but I suppose they gave me one with as they had it spare, and why stick me in a non-sea view one iyswim.

I suppose I agree with Gecklo2 comments, though my shower was good enough(from memory), it's the same as any other Hotel in that sort of price range.

I do remember it had a restaurant underneath, that had a bit of music during the day, but I don't remember it being too much of a problem

Yeah, I'll definitely consider that area for September. Ideally I want to be in stumbling distance from Space, but you can't have it all. I'm in the House of Reprobates in June.

It was VERY noisy the morning I left! The room next door (i.e. the front room of our apartment) was fully of 'Davis' crazed twunts shouting and listening to the 'next big thing'!:p

It was a day that changed all our lives forever.

Your envy that you weren't involved. is for all to see.

It's ok, I felt the same that I was never around for the Hacienda.

How much do you want to spend per night in Sept oh gollumy one :D

As little as possible of course  although I don't mind paying more for the perfect location. I don't really like hotels - I prefer apartments so you've got more space, fridge etc and you don't have to feel guilty about missing breakfast.

Sorry Bazilba, it's all gone a bit "me, me, me".

The only ones I know are Bali Beach, they come down in price a lot by the end of September (not that I obviously want you staying anywhere near as cos I know you'd be trying to sneak into bed with Tom at every opportunity  )

Well we all know nothing wakes you once you've gone to sleep so Tom's easy prey.

I read somewhere that they've got double beds rather than twins :?: and much as I love Lorna I need my space when I'm trying to sleep under difficult conditions. Also, have they got a sofa-bed for a third person?

 I'm going to be too scared to go to sleep in our apartment in June for fear of you luring Tom into your Gollum cave everytime I close my eyes

Re Bail Beach, both times I've stayed there we had double bed, there is a sofa in the lounge that turns into bed, that's where Jamie slept when he stayed with us.
