Jess's Collection

got loads of fun things and a £50 topshop voucher - i'm balling my eyes out! :(

London shopping trip ahead  ;)

It's natural to feel upset when you've been in a job for a while, but at the end of the day you've been moaning about it for how long ;) and the people etc who you've met there you'll still see, you don't need a job to keep your friendship and just think of all the exciting things round the corner at your new place ;)

If you're not on here for a while being the keen new girl, good luck Jessy and hope it goes really well for you xx

I'll miss Jessies rants about her job...

Jessie good luck and find something for us to help you with in your new role -

(I'm still missing Robder's tales from high maintainence Sarah and Sue!!!!  )

Were you not able to take any time off between your two jobs? I don't think I could walk into a new one having just finished another - thankfully have 10 days off between my current one and new one.

Good luck anyway. What's the actual title?

Don't worry, it's normal to take a while to settle in. I didn't think I was going to like the people I work with when I first started - it took me a good few months to get to know people and to feel comfortable in the job. You'll be OK!

Likewise. There were some people who I thought disliked me at first but now I get on with them really well. Definitely takes a while to settle in but I'm sure you will.

Chin up!

I thought you'd chuckle!! I think i've made a mistake though! :x

But how if it's a better job? It's all too easy just to stay in the same place because you don't want to rock the boat and you get on with people then realise you've wasted years of your life, but give it a month or two and I bet you'll look back and realise it was for the best and if not, you can always get a new job!

True... predictable reaction

Seriously, though. After I switched jobs in May I was bored out of my mind for the first 3 months but now things have gotten quite a bit more entertaining. Just hang on for a bit, get the lay of the land, kick off your heels, put your feet up... in short, relax for a bit.

In the meantime, remember all the things you hated about your last job!

I'm with Jessy - maybe it's cos I've worked for so many companies but I do think that you know within the first half day/day whether the job/company is going to be right for you.

Give it a few weeks, if you still don't like it you can always go elsewhere and then just put this on your CV as a temping job ;)

Yes but you've whored it round half of London. Workwise I mean, obviously.

Agree that in a few weeks she'll have a better idea of whether it's genuinely not right for her or just new-girl jitters.
