Jellyfish update

there are actually public warnings about a massive swarm of jellyfish currently floating about round the north of the balearics and heading this way. apparently 5000 people per day are being stung by them!

If there is a massive swarm, perhaps the Spanish government could recall all the fishing fleet from British waters and catch the little blighters whilst they are still together or get the navy to napalm them - the yanks usually have large stocks available.
The French are pretty p#ssed off today so they could vent their spleens in trying to help - perhaps they could drop in an immersion heater as they are so good at cooking according to Chirac.

Hmmmmmmm - that should upset enough nationalities for now

In Mallorca there is jellyfish in a lot of beaches, some beaches had so many jellyfish that is was forbbiden to go into the watter.

Managed to remain unstung last week although swam in the sea loads each day.

I did see a couple of them during my stay though.

One at Salinas and another at Cala Vedella.

Swam away sharpish, then legged it up the road being closely pursued and just managed to shut the door on the bus back to Ibiza Town before they got me.

i will be staying out of the water this summer, i'll go into the pool instead.

im paranoid about beestings, jellyfish etc etc. im bad enough in the water worrying about what lurks beneath the surface. no way am i swimming in the sea!! swarm you say?!?!

Those f***1ng Jellyfish are crawling all over the Israely beaches as well nowdays and preventing me from entering the water (and i am at the beach every single day during summer)

Why oh why do i have to bump into them in Ibiza as well?!

Got back yesterday and feeling very depressed - BUT did not see a single jellyfish at San Miguel, S'Argamassa or Playa d'en Bossa.

All clear on the east coast yesterday:

The water temperature was pleasant too.

One morning in the last week of September I fished out over 30 of the little b#ggers - always buy a net for the purpose as my wife would not survive a sting due to her condition so I am always on guard.
