as previously revealed by stephen this summer the jazz festival will last 3 days instead of 5 like in the past and, as usual, it will be the last week of july: 28th, 29th and 30th july :!:

their website havent been updated yet and the newspapers so far have only announced the spanish bands (ester andújar, sergio contreras & joseph tutusaus and fourejazz) but yesterday checking the magazine el cultural (with an article dedicated to all the jazz festivals in spain this summer) i found the three international acts: the pianist joachim kühn, the contrabassist avishai cohen and the post-bop/free-jazz swedish-norwegian combo atomic!! :P

btw, the german combo felix fromm sextett is already confirmed for next year :!:
 
an exposition by juan blanco with pictures taken at the jazz festival last year starts tomorrow in teatro pereyra, probably the same b/w collection he showed at can pou back in march. it will last till august 5th..........

as every year, radio 3 (105.7) recorded all the concerts and will broadcast them in the next weeks on discópolis (monday to friday from 1 to 2pm) :!:

· 5th to 8th of december: Ester Andújar, Fourejazz, Sergio Contreras and Josep Tutusaus

· 2nd to 10th of january: Jazz Sextet of Rostov, Avishai Cohen, Atomic and Joachin Khün.
