jazz bars/cafe in london?

I'm gonna take the missus out for a meal tonight so i'm thinking of somewhere with a bit of live jazz would be nice as we both appreciate it. I'm pretty skint though so i'm open to suggestions of restaurants or bars where i wont have to pay like £15 a ticket. The pizza express in soho sounds cool but i cant really afford to pay out £35 odd or whatever for the two of us before the meal, drinks etc.

The pizzeria at the end of carnaby st looks pretty cool but i'm wondering if anyone can suggest an alternative as well as a bar to move onto afterwards :)

Thanks for the suggestions peeps. I took a look at that camden one, jazzanova are one of my faves so i'm tempted just to blow it all on the card hah. Also, i was just workin my way through that view london one. Some possible ones on there too.
 
Jazz cafe tends to be a bit less touristy than Ronnie Scotts - and the line ups are brill.

I think the Quantic Soul Orchestra are playing there soon...and isn't the London Jazz festival approaching? That should mean some really good stuff is on the way.

Went to Soho pizzeria in the end as Orla Murphy was playing. Went to alphabet and floridita afterwards so ended up being another expensive night. Add to that my stupid idea of buying rounds in the end on sat night. Triple johnny walkers dont come cheap lol. Sunday... i felt like crap.

I think jazz cafe will be on the cards later in the month. Looks like a good venue. The london jazz festival was over the weekend i think. I know it started on friday but not sure how long its on for.
