got be in his seventies now hasnt he? While he's clearly a legend i dont know that i agree with the 'foundation of modern dance music'

his more well known title of 'Godfather of Soul' fits better!

the man is almost 73! i don't think he would have any claims to being the foundation of the type of dance music played in most of our ibiza clubs which seems to have little relation to 'soul' music. however there's no doubt that today's hip hop dance music is his true godchild!
